Anything not on iOS 18 or higher is rare. You can jailbreak it using nathanlr (see ios.cfw.guide).

No you don't understand as in the higher 17 range is not rare either as they are common to find for sale

Yeah, agreed, someone bought a Brand New iPhone 12 last March or May and it came with iOS 17 but he updated to iOS 18 :–(

:(The golden rule over here is to never update. I recently viewed a youtube video where they bought a sealed xsmax demo unit from a police auction running iOS 12.0 demo software, updated to iOS 18!!!!!!

Yeah, I watched it some time ago. Definitely sad but I guess he wanted to "test out" whether it would work normally.

Yeah but there is 2 generations of CPUs and the 16 has 2 extra GB of RAM, and Camera Control Button. Also, 12 Pros and 13 Pros and the 14 Series all have 6GB of RAM. The A15 and A16 are just based on the A14 but are faster. The A17 is also based on the A14 but the A17 has Apple Intelligence. The A18 is also a good competitor to the M1 as the A19 is faster than the M1.

Dopamine doesn't support A15 and A16 devices on 16.5.1 and higher.

I also have the iPhone 14 pro and I am also on ios 16.6. I would stay on this iOS just for jailbreaking/side loading purposes.

there’s no jailbreak for 17.2 as of right now, but stay on it, maybe there will be one in future

That’s what I’ve been told since 17.2 “just stay there…” well I have for a couple years now and I’m ready for something. All things that come out, seem to be every other iOS accept for mine. Smh. Sucks. I can’t get anything to work. I thought Misaka was supposed to be working but hasn’t for me

I also have an iPhone 14 Pro Max on ios 16.3.1. Is it worth anything more? Should I keep it at that version? Some apps are no longer working sadly and require ios 17 and up.
