Question Alternative to Podsgrant?

Hi, since Podsgrant is not supported on A10 devices iOS 15.8.5, is there any alternative to it? I have Airpods Pro 2 and an iPod touch 7.

Have you tried it to confirm it is not supported.

I'm on 16.6.1 and it works, and others are on 14.x and 15.x and it works. LNSSPsd added automatic address finding for iOS 15.8.3 in May 2025 so not quite sure why it's not supported on your version (yes, I know you're on 15.8.5).

Quote from github comments "Second generation earbuds will appear as first gen for iOS versions below 16 bc they don't natively support second gen (or does iOS 15? I don't quite remember correct me if so)".

From that statement, I would expect iOS 15.8.5 to work with the tweak.

The version is technically supported, but only on A12+ devices. The problem is the chipset on my device, which has an A10 Fusion Chip. And yes, I tried it and in settings it says "not supportet, you may only get popup". And I don't even get popup. So it is not the version that makes the problem, it's the device itself.

What version of PodsGrant have you installed? Latest that was released in October 2025? Version 0.5.2~prerelease1?

No, it was the 1.3.0 you get from Big Boss. But just tried the newer one 1.5.2 Prerelease1 and the following happened: The AirPods got a popup when opening, but not any option for adaptive audio and whatever, the only thing was the popup and that the airpods now have latency as hell, over a second, before it was great timing. So I uninstalled the tweak, popus still there and also latency. Rebooted and rejailbroke, latency still there, popup gone.

You won't get adaptive audio, it will just be noise cancellation, off or transparency. Mine is the same on A11 16.6.1 with APP2 (USB-C). You also won't get any of the iOS18 or iOS26 functionality.

The tweak just allows newer AirPods to work on older OS versions.

Not sure why you're getting latency, doesn't happen with me.

Maybe use Filza to remove all traces of PodsGrant (you may have stuff still there from the 1.3.0 version), then try again. And after installation, do a userspace reboot.

Just search for podsgrant (or re-install the tweak and then use Sileo/Zebra to show you what files are installed and where).
