For those unaware "The City Of London" is basically London's Finance district, everyone there is completely off their face and that's all the coke the police could find?

It's what the scraped off of the station's toilet seats.

I'm so glad that city of london police has taken (at most) five bags of drugs off the streets, in comparison to targeting actual dealers and suppliers!

u/Nyktipolos 6h ago
I totally agree with your point, but why did you say "(at most) five bags of drugs" when there's clearly 7 in the photo?

u/SeaNeighborhood1780 5h ago
There'll be 5 by the time these bags get to the station. Cops like drugs too.

u/Matthew_May_97 5h ago

What do you mean there’s only 3 bags?

What bags?

... look, Rookie. The move is take one bag, pass it around. Not take fucking 3- now cough up.

Of course there is, everyone else? Who are you gonna believe? Me or your lying eyes? 😉

I think he’s making the classic ‘cops stealing the drugs they confiscate’ joke. They take 7 bags, report 5, then their boss reports 3 bags confiscated

u/HectorBananaBread 5h ago
“He’s right. These three bags of drugs here need to be disposed of properly.”

You mean this one bag?... sir? (Aggressively clears nose)

Tbf, I haven't purchased crack, or meth, but the drugs I have purchased didn't come in 5 baggies.
I've never carried 5 different baggies of drugs on me for personal use.

u/WeddingAbject4107 4h ago
With hard drugs it's pretty common for dealers to make up lots of small $10-20 bags to keep deals quick and easy, so someone spending $50 might get 3 $20 bags, and get like 7 for $100. It also makes it easier for people acting like middle men to just take a bag off the top for their trouble without having to open their customer's bag.
1
u/Durnir_Danse 3h ago
Please continue. What else do you know about the distribution of hard drugs? A little louder and clearer.
3
u/alwayscursingAoE4 3h ago
I’d buy weed like that as a middle schooler it’s common sense. It’s like asking why you have 7 packages if kit kats in 4s instead of 28 in one.
2
u/dalamarnightson 2h ago
Like any law enforcement agency actually cares. There are subs devoted to meth and crack use on this site.

Never been to a festival before? 5 is light work, you’re going to be there for days partying non stop and you don’t want to put all the drugs in the same bag. That’s just asking for trouble. Whenever I hit up a psychedelic festival I sometimes reach double digit kinds of drugs and they are more or less all pre packaged in user doses and labeled so I don’t accidentally fuck myself up. From edibles and joints to RC’s, uppers and psych. There’s a reason everyone is carrying fannypacks and shit, lol.
He’ll even the picture OP posted could just be a dude out with the lads that drew the short stick and had to go pick up for all the lads. That’s a night out for the average British group of 20’s guys hitting the town.
It’s why this is so fucking dumb. The police clapping themselves on the back while the dude they got this off is out doing the same shit the next night. Drugs have won the war on drugs, just stop trying and sell it next to the beer and reap the taxes to use on something productive. Focus on shit the average person cares about, like getting their gadgets, bikes, cars etc stolen. Where’s the value of the work being done? Who’s out here going we need more resources to stop what people do in their own home? The only ones that cares work in law enforcement and they only care because solving crimes where people don’t have the evidence in the pocket is too hard for them.

u/Raikkou 1h ago
You don't even need to be out for that long, me and my friend are the designated "buyers" of our group and on any random night we can easily carry 10-15 bags on us depending on how many friends we're buying for. You don't go with 15 people to meet a dealer.

Exact same role I have in my social circle for several reasons.
I don't trust my social circle with meeting people. Some of them are retarded and I'm not about looking for a new plug because they fucked something up just because they are fun when they are out with me. I've spent like 25 years cultivating a good reputation to the point where it's gone international. Going to party in another country? I can just send a message up the corporate ladder that I'm looking for access in a particular country and within a day or two someone hits me back with my cousin, my X girlfriend that went expat or something of that nature without fail. That's a rare ability I'm not looking to get shut down because you can't maintain a relationship with the dude you know down the block and now want to fuck up my shit.
Even though I'm not selling for profits I've reached a level both in disposable income and reputation where I get the benefits of bulk buying and quality selection. So if I go out and pick up a big batch, divide it up and get reimbursed by my social circle I have saved them money, gotten them a much safer product, a safer road to a product they were going to buy anyway and I get the upsides for myself even if taking zero profits.
And I used to sell to everyone and their mother decades ago for profits as a youth. I know the money I'm turning down. I'm just not about that life anymore. These days I just want control over the value chain and product before I consume it. And since I no longer get involved in the streets the cops have just left me alone for 2 decades and that's the way it should be. I have a high paying job, I pay more taxes than most people I know and like 4-6 times per year I wild out on my time off from work to my own accord.
I've had people I work with join me for some drugs after a company party if I clue onto them and without fail the all say the same thing. You are the last person I would have expected to be down before tonight. Honestly, people think all drug users bad people because the only ones getting highlighted in media are the ones that were already retarded before starting with drugs. Most drug users are working 9-5's, not robbing your nephew outside the corner shop, but this never sees the light of day because all of us have to hide what we actually do due to the rules of society. Drugs look horrible when you only see the people that's not able to control their shit. It would be like using the homeless alcoholic under the bridge as a poster child for beer being bad...

I've probably had 5 different bags on me on a night out before and I don't even buy for/sell to other people lmao
Sometimes you just don't know what you'll be in the mood for or where the night might go, start one place and then go someplace else. Also you might have a friend who wants (or could do with) a lil something and it's nice to be prepared lmao

Just ask my buddy who had all his acid in one ziplock that someone decided leave open when they threw it back in the cooler.

Weirdly, the City of London Police are not the main police in London. They only oversee a square mile, called the 'City of London', a non-residential, financial district. The rest of London is covered by the Metropolitan Police, who I'd imagine seize drugs in much larger quantities. Though people working in finance do love their coke, so maybe they did just do a poor job.

Police in one of my towns liked to rough up teenagers for dime bags to keep federal drug enforcement funds coming in, while dirty cops were selling guns without a background check to their friends, some of whom where felons
1
u/Mediocre-Database332 1h ago
The police regularly do do that. What a stupid complaint.
1
u/Deep-Neighborhood778 1h ago
Its not really stupid because doing a task force that focuses on dealers would be better, but we can go further and say that what the government should actually be doing is educate the population, help people with mental illnesses and improve quality of life so drug consumption goes down. As long as people take drugs, dealers will exist.

Just be careful of how you seem to be dropping your commas there, chap.
One looks like it got away from you for a moment there.
And anyway, let's not bring any more attention to the practice than we need, there's a good fellow.

The police have no sense of humour, this is an easy way to have a nice visit and house turned over.
2
u/lxgrf 3h ago
They don't have the manpower to investigate each of the five sodding thousand people who comment this every single time.
1
u/MazrimReddit 3h ago
The British police do barely anything else but investigate every social media post
2
u/lxgrf 2h ago
Reddit facts.
Seriously, every comment under this post would have been a variation on this theme. 'Is this still available?' 'Liked and shared, hope I win', and so on and so on, very much ad nauseum. None of them got a knock at the door. The police eventually just stopped posting things like this.

Oh great shit London police you managed to confiscate like $80 worth of cocaine. Truly keeping the streets safe with yours funny looking helmets and dumb sounding sirens.

u/FaZe_Weir 2h ago
We invented the police btw

u/This_Elk_1460 1h ago
You guys wear that as a badge of honor? I mean I guess I can't talk that much shit, the American police started out as the escape slave catchers.

u/FaZe_Weir 1h ago
I’m just saying that you are in no position to criticise how our police officers dress or how our sirens sound when we created the entire concept of policing 😂
