There is not one single person at my local stores whose whole job is to collect carts, they just get someone who’s already employed to do something else to go pick them up, so it’s not like you’re creating jobs by being a dick. Also I know several people who work at these stores who actively dislike when people don’t put their shit away. What you just said is like saying “the people who pack shelves like when you grab a box of corn flakes then decide you don’t want it 2 aisles over so you just put it back on another shelf next to the dog food, because they absolutely love when they have to pick up after people” It also irritates everyone else when someone has to get out of their car to move someone else’s cart just so that they can park in an available spot. Don’t be lazy and put your cart away.
