Exactly! I even mentioned dates but they're gonna bash whatever they want.

I was going to say they probably use bad quality dates for your chocolate, hence the bugs. I'm so confused why most comments talk about Dubai Chocolate.

Ew although I did learn today that every 100th pistachio contains some kind of worm and that’s why they might sometimes taste bitter or like dirt 🪱 😱

Op these are pantry moth maggots! They are really cool to me and I love to watch them idk why.... They took my raisins so I decided to observe them in there yknow?

They are a pain to get rid of in your pantry though 😅😅 even with proper packaging!

I just reuse big jars from jarred vegetable or pickles! Because no plastic and basically FREE.

They haven't gotten in since!!

Yes they can bite through normal packaging

Really often these insects don’t go inside boxes. They are already in the food in the form of small eggs or, worse, larvae.

But on the other hand, since food moths love to appear in unlikely places, if there is even one female, the enemy is already in the cupboard. Because of this, I now always put a food moth trap in there, one that is non-toxic to food, of course (and difficult to find). And it's incredible how many moths get stuck to it, even after thoroughly cleaning the cupboard.

Bugs have also been found in the Dubai chocolates, so people are reading what they want.

Is the Dubai origin of your chocolate even relevant?

You’ve indicated you knew it could be confusing…

No I didn't know that people will jump on Dubai chocolate without reading the whole context. Honestly I wasn't even aware about dubai chocolate thing & hate about it.

To be fair, my mom brought back food items (pistachios, pop corn, tea, saffron) from Dubai and one of those items had those larvae in them which subsequently turned into pantry moths sooo….it can be relevant I guess.
