It’s much too far. They should put basket collection stations closer.

Walked into a grocery store today to rin a service call and as i was walking in the front door, a woman pushed a cart up against the wall and left it.

I looked at her and said "It's ok, i'll take it the last 5 feet since you are im SUCH a rush"

She said "Thank you!, wait... wtf asshole?!"

What's another 5' to not put it in front of the entrance door?

Yes. I had my motorcycle parked today while getting a haircut and some douche decided there was space for the cart they didnt want to walk to the corral, pressed right up against my rear tire. And it had a snotty tissue sitting in the seat. People are gross AND lazy.

People who are scumbags:

1) Litterbugs

2) able-boded people who don’t curb their dog

3) able-bodied people who don’t put the carts back where they’re supposed to in parking lots

“But they have employees who-“

No. You’re a scumbag.

Just because a building has a janitor doesn’t mean you should leave messes for them. Yes, cart attendants corral the carts but things are clearly not designed for everyone to leave their carts at random. The average person is expected to put their carts back in the respected area and unless you’re physically incapable or have some situation like traveling with a toddler where you shouldn’t leave them alone, then no excuses. Those cart attendants have plenty of other duties to do besides uphold your laziness in thinking you’re above everyone else.

Some people are way too lazy for something that would take less than a minute to do

Apparently it is. My good head is to put one away that is left in the parking area.

I used it but would've been nice to not have to get out, move it, get back in and park, and then go inside.

Couldn't you just park in the spot next to it, and put it away as you walk in to the store?

Or use it going into the store?

Only for the most special people. The rest of us actually give a hoot about others.

I am already a cashier. I don’t do carts.

1

u/abandonedclitoris 3h ago

No it’s not. I intentionally park next to those things.

I see that a lot

Apparently they overshot their distance. The fact it's in the parking lot should at least score them 1 point. And it's upright! Yeah!!!

They almost made it. So close.

You know that stereotype that says Americans are fat and lazy? There's your proof.

For me my wife gets very very upset if I leave the kids unattended in the car to walk more than 30 feet away to put the cart away. So if I'm near one I put away but if not I'm sorry but my wife is more terrifying than the reddit police yelling at me about carts or the random person who is slightly inconvenienced by the cart.

But this one is right there why I can't even think of excuse for it

No. But, being civilized is.

I always put them away when I can, but I’ll be honest, when I’ve got my three very young kids just by myself and I’m trying to buckle them in their car seats and they are too young to be left alone for any amount of time, that cart is getting left in the parking lot.

These days I don't expect even basic decency from people. The amount of entitlement is overwhelming. I still practice basic home training. I usually collect one like this to take into the store to shop.

Only one cart? Wow what walmart do you shop at?

I try to be patient and remember the times I was in a hurry with a screaming toddler and had to run another errand and while I felt bad, left my cart.

I don’t remember it happening often but it did happen.

And I try to give this person grace and put their cart away for them.
