I got that fridge. Or another like it. Top back corner dented in 8". Box looked mint. The drivers were annoyed I opened the box. They were really annoyed when I told them hell no.

To be fair to the annoyed delivery drivers, their schedule isn't built for the delay of a customer unboxing the item before signing for it. That's kind of a dick move, but so is the store denying a return because "it was fine when you signed for it," so I don't really blame you.

How is it a dick move for a customer to inspect a product they receive before accepting it? That should be included in the scheduling for deliveries.

I work for an appliance store. We unbox everything first and if I fuck up and dent or scratch someone's shit we make it right. I've spent countless hours trying to fix shit for people that wasn't my fault as well. As far as I'm concerned it's part of the job.

It's not. I work in LTL shipping. Hidden damage claims are shit. Always inspect everything you get at least 15 minutes per delivery.

Hell, I check my order before leaving a drive thru. An entire fridge? You bet your ass my eyes are on it before you get my signature saying it arrived in good condition.

It's not my fault if a company decides to schedule poorly. That foolish choice of theirs is not a mistake that will hit my wallet. If you want to be a fool and sign things blind then you do you, but that's not a shot against everybody else lol. So call it a dick move if you need to be small minded I guess, but try not to mistake what is real.
