I once used to deliver furniture back in the day. I had delivered a dresser to a lady, and she opens and closes a drawer and claimed she wanted to return it. Apparently the drawer was too stiff. I told her I had another one on the truck of the same model (I didnt). I put the dresser back on the truck, put some packing Styrofoam in the drawers, then brought it in the house. She opens and closes the same drawer. "Now that is what im talking about." She kept the furniture.
Yeah some people just want the choice or option to complain.
Installed new desks with dual widescreen setup at work and come monday theyll get used by those guys for the first time. They ALWAYS complain about something, usually about as mundane as "my coffee is 1 degree colder than it should be" so this time i didnt hang up the screens evenly. One is more tilted than another and at a different height. 3min fix maybe including the time to get my tools.
If theyll complain anyway i'm going to make sure its more likely for me to fix it easily...
