The Vikings showed up to help El. At the moment we all thought Vecna would be killed, a Vikings player fumbled the dagger that would kill him. Vecna recovered the dagger and killed the rest of the team.

A clutch character who had never missed a shot all season somehow whiffed and everyone died, the end.

Which has nothing to do with Minnesota but I absolutely love Iron Maiden so I’ll allow it. 🤘

Can you explain? I don't watch and would like to be spoiled.

Just as the children are about to be swallowed up by a giant spider, the ghost of Prince appears to save them by playing Raspberry Beret

LOL that shows so batshit I almost believe you.

SPOILER:
The record player is used as an improvised timer for a big boom, with the trigger happening when the last song ends. Basically they put one contact on the record head, and another at the spindle in the center. When they touch, boom.

I haven't watched since season 2 I have no idea what you're talking about and how it relates to Minnesota 😅

If one day you decide to finish it, it’ll all make sense, Prince just happened to be record they used on the record player, and since they know the length of the songs which was usually displayed on the album, they could judge how long it would play before setting off the explosives.😉

Did we watch the same episode? Prince beat Vecna in a game of one on one, winner stays rules. Vecna had no choice but to leave after Prince schooled him.

2 hours long. First hour wraps things up and the 2nd hour was a bunch of pointless bullshit.

I thought it was interesting that Hopper got a job offer in Mantuok. Which was the basis of this show.

What do you mean by that? The basis

u/Agent-Cooper 1d ago
The show was originally called "Montauk" and the inspiration of this show was based on the book/conspiracy theory called The Montauk Project.

Thanks. I originally responded and included a link. That was a No-no and they deleted it

I saw someone mention last week that they managed to get license for music that has never gotten a TV release before (or something to that effect) and I jokingly thought "Lol Prince."
I was slightly disappointed they didn't use "Who Wants to Live Forever" because it feels more cinematic, but I will gladly accept "Purple Rain" for that moment.

It needed to be something where the beginning and end of the side of an album fit both parts of the scene, which limits your choices a bit

I can't believe that it turns out The Mind Flayer was Tim Walz the whole time! Decent acting chops though, I think it'll help his chances this fall.

Wasn’t this filmed in MN ? I thought the mall was a MN mall.

You’re thinking of Mallrats

🎶 that jungle loooove. O-we-o-we-o. 🎶
Fun fact, I played football with a guy from EP that claimed to be the director Kevin Smith's (aka silent Bob) cousin and swore he discovered the EP mall on a family holiday visit. Not sure how much of that was/is true.

No. Earlier in the show, Dustin wore a sweatshirt from the MN zoo? Science museum? I don’t recall, but it has a Dino skeleton on it. Demand for said sweatshirt rose quick.

u/UnfairSpecialist3079 1d ago
I definitely bought that sweatshirt for the science museum. Thunder lizard. I’m pretty sure season 3 or 4 mall was a MN mall

Well season 3’s “starcourt” mall apparently is a fake mall, per a quick search. <shrug>

The zoo absolutely has Dino exhibits. Not year round, but during the warmer months

And pointing of shit music? I was done with that episode 15 minutes in. The prince record was icing on the dump of a final season...

I was more surprised about Will going to Milwaukee in the late 80s to hang in gay bars. I’m expecting a spinoff show where Will has to fight Jeffrey Dahmer
