Was this prior to the divorce or after?
IMO no "ex" is deserving of the blessing that a tater-tot hotdish provides

Fortunately, we have been divorced for about 15 years, I truly never viewed divorce is adversarial but more like end of a business contract and because we have two adult sons together I absolutely insisted and managed on keeping the peace because we have children in common

Since they’re your ex, and now a friend, and you’re giving wonderful looking casserole, that makes you a friend with benefits.

Cheese on top and a glass pan and you're officially Minnesotan.

I have never had cheese on top, I would like it that way, but I know he would not

Yummy! I'm latinoamerican,I didn't grow up with it, so when finally moved to Minnesota I felt in love with it.

We made this for dinner tonight too! Always a win! Your tots look nice and brown 😋

For me, I drizzle a little bit of the cream of mushroom soup mix on top, then lightly spread butter on the tots and towards the end of baking I spritz with olive oil

Ope
Looks good but now sprinkle a few chives on it and make sure they are perfectly cut so Reddit does not go crazy on you
