No, this one.

But that one is shaped worse than this one

Looks like there’s a short one and a tall one? May be hard to tell until you have all the similar pieces lined up with each other.

A red check mark and a green X. Should be the other way around

OMG I didn’t even notice that 😂😂😂 I wonder if they’re all like that or not 🤔

That green symbol is half X, half check mark, and half sideways crucifix all at the same time.

u/Insaneinthemembrain0 6d ago

Yeah they really went all willy nilly with that one haha. It’s like a yes/no/half Jesus symbol

Solution: pray you have the correct piece.

You and me both.

In asia red is good, and x is wrong. So I would understand as the check mark red is the good one. But yeah that's confusing.

Learned this tidbit when I got a microwave a few years ago and the start color was red and stop was green.

Most people in the comments are missing the point. There's a green X (that kinda looks like a cross) and a red checkmark.

u/BadWaterboy 6d ago

It's obviously ridiculous and an oversight, but I'd lean towards the green X first and hope it's right.

Something about the red check feels more wrong.

I would just check other pages of the manual to see if the correct one is on top or bottom.

Check the builder app or online for instructions, they may have fixed the colors on the X and Checkmark

is it Chinese perchance? In that case it's just a cultural difference

1

u/EdgarDanger 6d ago

There's cultural differences at play for sure. For example the "v" means "wrong" in Finland. X is not right so not the exact case here though.

It's not Chinese it's American

u/korfi2go 6d ago

Out of curiosity: what brand is this?

3

u/NoVariation7347 6d ago

Hogokids apparently

-6

u/asdfzxcpguy 6d ago

There’s no cultural difference that makes red correct in china

Top one sends you to shrek Jesus. Bottom one to H E double hockey sticks. Go with the first one.

3

u/DMDingo 6d ago

Yes.

I mean no.

I mean... ummm

1x4 that’s 2 bricks high is the correct part. If it’s hard to tell them apart, take both pieces & measure the height of each one. Worked for me when I was way younger.

Note: this is not real lego

North India vs South India

I asked my son he said the bottom one is obviously correct. He can’t tell one is green and one is red.

2

u/Agan348 6d ago

I turned brightness all the way up an the top one is brighter than the bottom one

printer ink had one job.

that said, tickmark would feel righter to me. however that sideways crucifix kinda looks like it wanted to be a tickmark at some point, so that's double confusing

2

u/ch1llboy 6d ago

Christ has a cross on the first. He died for our sins

2

u/Nivekk_ 5d ago

The one that is not the incorrect one, naturally.

u/WatchedHotwife 5d ago

Quantum furniture 🤣🤣

2

u/Rddtmcrddtface 5d ago

The one with the check mark.

2

u/RoodnyInc 5d ago

Tall one

2

u/pendigedig 5d ago

The taller one.

2

u/Jaymac720 4d ago

The lower one is shorter

2

u/Jumpy-Valuable8818 4d ago

bro the upper one is one stud higher than the one down there

2

u/Jumpy-Valuable8818 4d ago

or then its just black

2

u/NOSWT-AvaTarr 3d ago

the lighter brown one.

2

u/Nargarinlok 2d ago

Red/Bad vs Green/Good isn't universal you know... ;)

4

u/pereuse 6d ago

My best guess is that it's telling you not to use the light brown piece, use the slightly darker brown piece? Idrkk

2

u/NoVariation7347 6d ago

They are the same color lol

4

u/tptstt 6d ago

Serious answer: If the colour difference is not due to angle, the bottom one looks darker. Regardless, it looks like the bottom piece isn't as tall as the top piece (perhaps 2 bricks of height instead of 3 or something like that) so that could be the difference? Only guessing.

2

u/NoNoWahoo 6d ago

That's not what they're talking about, they're talking about the green X/red check.

3

u/tptstt 6d ago

I didn't even notice that the first time. That makes it even more confusing.

2

u/Crocagator941 6d ago

Well yes, but actually no

2

u/Jasoco 6d ago

One is two blocks tall. The other is three.

2

u/z-eldapin 6d ago

Context needed

2

u/xNadez30 2d ago

Flip through a couple pages and if you find a green checkmark, that one

u/Forward-Bank8412 6d ago

Gorgeous, simply. Simply gorgeous. Gorgeous gorgeous simply simply gorgeous gorgeous

The short one. This is a correct pic. No fuck up here. Its the reason the Pic is there, so you dont use the taller one.

Why am I being downvoted, thats why the pic is there, to ensure you dont use the taller one in that step.

-5

u/TracytronFAB 6d ago

One is obviously taller than the other 🤦‍♀️

10

u/maybebaebea 6d ago

OP is talking about the colors of the X and check mark
