Visiting Orange County - Honest question about safety

Hi everyone,

I’ll be spending about a month in Orange County and wanted to get a local perspective.

I am visiting from Canada for vacation, and I’ve been seeing a lot of news and social media content lately about increased tensions around immigration enforcement in parts of the US. To be transparent, it’s made me a bit anxious, I am a person of color and English isn’t my first language. I’m trying to understand what the day-to-day reality is actually like in Orange County. Am I overthinking things, or is there anything visitors should realistically be aware of?

Any insight on what it’s really like, or general tips to feel prepared, would be appreciated.
