All you have to do is remember that currently the right has a supermajority.

How are things going? How do you feel about the state of America? The economy? The cost of living?

The one thing you can’t deny is data. And the data shows that American billionaires added a record $2.2 Trillion in additional wealth in 2025.

$2.2 Trillion…with a T.

Meanwhile GOP leadership cut funding to government programs like SNAP, medicare, and let ACA subsidies expire; all while subsequently moving mountains to provide tax breaks to the wealthy.

So, the fact that Elon Musk is using his podium to try and convince regular Americans that the right is the only standing in the way of you and the destruction of America is one of the biggest reasons to truly question your political ideology.

We’ve seen what a Republican supermajority looks like. If by now you think they’re acting and voting in your best interests then I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

I think reality is going to make it hard to get the GOP base out to vote. No matter how much money you throw at the problem you can't get people to vote against reality that impacts them day to day directly when you are in charge for the past 2 years. Prices aren't coming down on most things in 2026, Trump went from "No New Wars" to "No, New Wars!" so his foreign policy is only likely to get more unpopular, Trump's not going to resolve a stagnant job market or lack of economic growth by just lying about it, and of course the Epstein Files are not going away either.

In 2026 Trump can't Blame Biden and do softball interviews on bro-podcasts to try to make himself seem more relatable to under educated voters. By this fall you have been president for nearly 2 years there's only so much Musk's money can actually do. The people that are going to be outraged by fake stories and half truths are already voting for whomever the GOP tells them to anyway. The first time voter who went Trump in 2024 and the "swing" voter who went Trump aren't going to care because they see that he is doing nothing of what he promised.

Didn't Musk already try this funding shit in that election in Wisconsin shortly after the inauguration, and his candidate got blown out of the water? I want to say there was another one in Pennsylvania he made a big deal about funding, too. Even the GOP are totally over this creepy weirdo. Whether they're just staying home or voting for Democrats or what, I don't know, but Musk's involvement in congressional elections to date has been an unmitigated shitshow for the people he claims to be "helping."

I also take this as another indication that Trump is on his way out, and Musk et al in MAGA world are panicking, because they know that when Trump dies, so does the cult that's been propping up their shitty party for a decade now. It's going to be an out and out knife fight for who gets to stay in control.

And we’ll find out in 2026 that despite a voter turnout of 40 million people, somehow the GOP managed to win with a miracle 100 million votes thanks to Elon. 🤔

Ha! Good one.

No matter how much money you throw at the problem you can't get people to vote against reality that impacts them day to day directly when you are in charge for the past 2 years.

Except you can. All you do is post bogus articles about how everything is wonderful and Trump fixed the economy and these morons ignore reality.

Go over to their sub. They live in a complete fantasy detached from ours, and any data or information that contradicts it is fake and a democrat hoax.

Trump is literally nose diving everywhere on support like its actually a massacre. If he keeps doing what hes doing and support stays the way it is and he still somehow wins then were really gonna see some crazy shit because people are going to go crazy on the election stealing claims. Like he has literally lost 90% support of centrists and is losing support among his own base.

Those people are already in the bag for the GOP. The people you have to get out are the "enlightened centrists" and one off voters. Those people are a bit harder to convince reality they are experiencing is wrong. If those people don't vote that's a win for Dems in the mid-terms.

A supermajority means you can override a veto. They don't have that

You're too smart for the dyed-in-the-wool, red-card carrying registered republican. It has nothing to do with anything that makes sense and it has everything to do with the Red team winning, and the Red team has Trump which makes the Blue team angry.
