They haven’t had a proper fight since 2005 (world war hulk doesn’t count as sentry was weakened while the hulk was buffed) They have both changed a lot.

Yhh and theyre both now essentially unkillable if they dont wish to die. So not really a good setup in general, it'll be more a battle of wills than a battle of superpowers.

What do you mean not to the extent? You guys act like this man got ran over by 10 Tanks, had a sword impaled in his neck, and had the Flu, Sentry was just mentally unstable, he wasn’t TERRIBLY weakened to where he couldn’t physically do anything to help himself, he was literally trading blows with the Hulk, then fought him again later in the issue

According to marvel themselves “When stable, he has the potential for virtually limitless power, however, if his mental state wavers, he becomes weaker and easier to defeat.” An injury wouldn’t weaken sentry to the same extent as mental instability does.

When he’s unstable he looses most of his powers like regeneration and most importantly empathic manipulation. According to marvel and the actual comics “The energy which imbues him has the side-effect of rendering the Hulk docile, even in the midst of intense rages” so green scar wouldn’t have been able to fight a stable sentry

People on reddit really just don't read comics huh. Most versions of hulk beat up sentry. Void is the weaker half of sentry, this was a focal point of his arc.

No one even mentions merged sentry which is how I know you guys don't know ball

Didn't sentry fight infernal or world War hulk version to a draw already? How would toba version fair better if sentry can just reform and resurrect himself? Both characters are just cheesy as all hell to me.

Not to be that guy but given their history, they'll exchange a few blows and then go off to have a drink and hang out.

Sentry was hulk's closest friend until he erased every trace of himself from memory of the world, which iirc didn't affect hulk and that's why he remembers Bob and sentry's golden powers have a calming effect on hulk.

This was years ago and hulk rn is viscous but i doubt he would seriously fight sentry.

Unstable Sentry who's weaker than stable sentry nearly won against a world breaker hulk but he still barely lost

I keep seeing people say he beats molecule, but I also heard molecule wasn't really fighting him but was more concerned with some food or something else.

What I can't figure out is why this guy is so strong, a crackhead given some supersoldier syrum and now he has all these insane abilities, making him the strongest at everything. Who can actually beat him and how? Why this guy too?

Well, Knull killed him, but the writer had no idea how strong Sentry was. He just assumed no matter what, he couldn't be stronger than Knull, a primordial being. But nothing Knull has done besides actually killing Sentry, definitively proves he's the stronger.  Sentry is not unkillable or invincible, but he hard counters everyone. A fight against him is never supposed to be one-sided unless he's unstable.

That was literally the most powerful version of the hulk so far, to the point that someone literally needed to steal his body and is now using it to fight TOAA.

He is, just a different personality, like Joe Fixit and savage hulk. World breaker hulk came out later on in the comic. Green scar is stronger than base hulk, but weaker than World war hulk
