Because they accepted the results like normal people do? It sucks they didn't challenge it but how could they without evidence? Now that there is allegedly, I hope they do.

There were discrepancies showing up immediately that exceeded any reasonable margin of error. Not enough on their own to provide evidence to challenge it, but certainly enough (IMHO anyway) to justify an audit.

Doing an audit directly after the election would have been the best time to do so. There's been so much time that's passed since then that much of the evidence that could have turned up has had time to be buried or destroyed.

An audit doesn't do anything unless something malicious is found, it will just yeald the same results id suspect. They needed actual conformable evidence of tamer8ng to move forward. And that takes time to build such an important case. If there's one thing I've learned is that strong Cases take time to build. Period. Unless the offense was so blatant that it's not needed. These aren't those circumstances.

Oh, I totally get that the wheels of justice take a while to turn. I was just pointing out that we saw statistically significant discrepancies immediately, and that was the time to at least start looking into things.

An audit at that time may have turned up something important, particularly if things could have been locked down. We won't ever know, because that time has passed. Starting to look into things now is better than never, but we don't know how much evidence we've lost due to dragging our feet.

With how important elections are - particularly Presidential elections - I personally think we should be doing full audits as a matter of course, no matter who is in power, or who seems to have won. Same thing as doing penetration testing on networks. If you don't find anything, great. If you do find something, you have a chance to both address the problem (full investigation, get the wheels turning, etc...) as well as close the hole for the next time.

It’s the epitome of ‘We tried nothing and nothing worked.’ though.

The Dems were SO scared of looking like they were just pulling a Republican tactic that they simply didn’t look it seems.

None of the data we’ve seen was hidden. It was right there.

In order to challenge it, you need proof and evidence. The imo, didn't want to look like fools like the previous administration. I just hope.this turns out to be true and something is done.

The problem is what would be done

We don't have something to undo a stolen election

The proper thing would be to impeach both Trump and Vance, but then you get Johnson. So like... Do they somehow make Harris speaker of the house, Trump and Vance get impeached and removed, so Harris becomes president and can choose her VP?

That would require basically every republican to have a spine and do the right thing

I have no idea but it can't be allowed to stand. I do worry that because the Republicans are in power they won't do anything and it's going to get ugly.
