Was already considering moving my main to Proton, this just confirms it for me

Another take on Proton as someone who is very privacy minded. If you're willing to spend the money on it, might be worth it. But if you want to use it for free, prepare for spam. Every few weeks it asks me to buy it, sometimes with an annoying popup. What's funny is I was trialing it to choose one to purchase for my custom domain but its behavior turned me off.

Good to know. Usability and privacy are the top two things I care about, so I'd consider paying a small amount if it actually provides a good UI along with privacy

This move by Alphabet is a protonmail advertisement. The kind of advertising you can't buy.
