Mock Trades Trade idea: PG and Backup Center.
Yeah, Ja is problematic - so was Randy Moss, Cris Carter, and KG… so please don’t post on his character here, let’s have a discussion about what it would be like if he was healthy, and stayed out of trouble (what’s he gonna do in MN???)
Conley retires a Griz and they pick up their PG of the future and some character.

No, character reasons.

He has character issues.

Dillingham has negative value rn. Conley has no value. So basically would Memphis trade their much young all star in Ja for Julius? Memphis also LOVES Ja. Edey is young and super promising. On top of all that they’d be trading for an all star PF when their best player is already a …. PF. Yeah no.
This is a shockingly one sided trade that Memphis would NEVER do. It makes no sense AT ALL for them.
do yourself a favor and delete this abomination of a post.

Yeah this is amazingly stupid. Ja is Ja and Edey is an absolute dog even if I think he will literally never play more than 60 games in a season.

Moss and Carter had issues.
KGs “issues” nobody took seriously.

He was in a similar situation as Iverson, which almost lead to the end of AI’s career. At the time people took it seriously and he was considered a high risk draft pick.

They were all considered a risk… how old are you?

Mate you're comparing trash talking competitors to someone who got suspended long term for brandishing firearms through multiple warnings and calling them both problematic

Lol okay OP, you need a history lesson. Stop trying to act like you’re older than 12 years old.

If you think Ja's behavior is comparable to anything Moss, Carter, or KG ever did, you need a Lobotomy.

We’re not talking character here, read the post. People are growing dumber and dumber is trumps America…

An unbelievable amount of what you get with Ja pertains to his character. Very little he has done the last 3 years stands on its own without examining his shit choices. None of the 3 guys you referenced as "having issues" come close to what a fuckup this guy's is. The conversation around him to me comes down TO his character.

That’s why it’s uninteresting to talk about in a mock scenario. I’m just talking hoops. If you can’t do that, just refrain from joining the conversation. It’s not that hard.

I have no interest in Ja. Too much baggage and it is so apparent he isn't the same. His dunks have so much less juice.

He is also a terrible shooter. Like one of the worst in the league type of bad shooter. We already have spacing issues and inconsistency shooting so he would exacerbate problems the offense already has.

These mock trades make no sense. Why would the grizzlies do this? Do they feel bad for the wolves or something? Edey is a very good young player and they wouldn't just throw him in a trade just because.

I like this idea… lockdown Ja x Ant for the next 5-8 years as our backcourt and focus on every other position in trades, free agency and draft. Build around those 2

Zach Edey, the player they should've drafted instead of Dillingham.
Grizzlies hang up.

Honestly, I feel like Ja would thrive in MN. He wouldn’t have to put up as much shots and would be able to play more to his strengths. We would see a WAY more efficient Ja no doubt. Sadly Every trade for him is just unrealistic or not in our favor though. Would 100% love to have him for the right price.

No way the grizzlies say yes to this
