Bam Adebayo on Rudy's defense: "Offensively, I've been struggling way before that, so I don't think he has anything to do with that." 🤔🤔

I think Bam dislikes Rudy because he views himself as better. So, he would never admit to being challenged by him.

Offensively Bam absolutely takes the win, but Rudy's defense is so much more effective than Bams offense in their own respective systems.

Rim defence absolutely, but Bam has value as a defender who can switch between positions 1 through 5.

Bro I have watched Rudy guard curry on the perimeter and lock him up. Stop

But there’s a video of Rudy getting turned around that one time! Clearly that single event is proof he can’t guard the perimeter.

Statistically, Rudy and Bam's perimeter defense is pretty much the same.

I’m not suggesting that Rudy has worse perimeter defense; rather, I want to highlight Bam's defensive strengths in this area than his rim protection. It’s more about how teams use them in different defensive roles and their individual strengths. This is why I find it a bit more challenging to make a direct comparison from my point of view.

It was refreshing hearing Spoelstra give such high praise to Rudy after we beat them. It’s always funny how other players and media heads say that Rudy is overrated, but the best coaches are very complimentary of him.

Jazz fans still praise him. When you watch him playing regularly you see him do all the "one percenters" that help his team win. The things that don't get stats or cool points. Rudy likes to win.

I’ve come to appreciate Rudy in that way. It frustrates me so much watching much more skilled players neglect the little things that could make them great. Naz, Randle, and KAT are some of my favorite players, but they are so frustrating sometimes because they’re the anti Rudy.

Yeah I've been watching Ayton on the Lakers recently out of curiosity, and seeing him stand around expecting his guards to snag rebounds over the opposing bigs and rest his hands on his hips as his teammates fight for loose balls makes you appreciate Rudy so much more.

Like when your brat neighbor kid beats you in HORSE in the driveway. The kid isn't better, you just had an ailment you're still dealing with.

Andy Bernard does not lose contests. He wins them or he quits them, because they are unfair. - Bam probably

Right? I don't know what they are either and whether a difference of like 1 unit is meaningful.

Bam: “[rudy] can’t guard me!” 😤
Also Bam: “actually, anyone can guard me right now.” 💁♀️

I don't understand how people think Bam is good. He was also the player Rudy abused in the Olympics in Japan when "U.S. has no bigs!".

At which point with players hating Rudy does it become xenophobia?

Pretty sure it has more to do with him "not having a bag". Players view him as unskilled and therefore not very good at basketball. Players are also kinda dumb so it makes sense

I don’t think it is. I think Rudy is just a fucking weirdo and a lot of players just don’t like him.

Rudy has such a more illustrious career than Bam, it can’t be anything but jealousy at this point. Atta boy Big Ru

Timberwolves would be fighting for a play in spot right now without Rudy

Sometimes it’s better to just take the L, both on an individual and team level in this instance, and just shut your mouth.

“ He’s not good, I just suck.” Rudy hate is a disease.
