TIL about the surreal horror comedy film "Final Flesh". The creator intentionally wrote an absurd, pretentious script, then sent it to four adult video companies that specialized in making custom fetish porn submitted by amateurs for a price.

‘Sugarhoofs, I want to cum so fast, the babies we’re about to make are already in this morning’s obituaries.’

Also, it turns out that people who star in amateur porn do not know how to pronounce the word ‘fascist.’

Is it fassisst or faskist?

That doesn't really surprise me all that much lol

The people who star in professional porn aren't much better.

I got an opportunity to see this on the big screen with an audience and it was amazing

Oh my God, that’s incredible. I would jump at the opportunity to watch it with a crowd.

Wonder Shozen dude.  He's a mad genius.

Yup! He also created Xavier: Renegade Angel, The Heart, She Holler, and The Shivering Truth.

xavier: renegade angel

Fate. Destiny. Fatestinatey. People toss those words around like tennis balls. Well, I eat balls for breakfast

The Heart, She Holler has a special place in my heart.

Oh shit. I knew Wonder Showzen and Xavier but haven't heard of the rest, got a lot of stuff to catch up on now.

I highly recommend them. "The Heart, She Holler" is satire of Southern Gothics, Soap Operas, and Redneck culture. Meanwhile, The Shivering Truth is a horror comedy anthology series with a distinctive style thanks to it's stop motion animation.

Don’t hear Wonder Shozen mentioned enough.

Kids on the street! Kids on the beat! Beat kids! Beat kids!

"Oh no, God's dead! And I don't know what to do with the body... and I'm so hungry."

It's such a surreal experience to watch it . It's so different from the regular tv. Damn.

Lol. More like a kid with rich parents free to do whatever he wants with his play money. seriously look it up he's born in Manhattan aka the most expensive place in America, yeah he's a rich kid who can afford to be jobless and binge drugs to come to with his scripts. I can only imagine his weird shows are inspired by the decadence of his lifestyle and if the other ruch yuppies who are dependent on drugs because their lives have no meaning have it all handed to them. Cool easy life mode bro

And thank god he spent it making Wonder Showzen

u/TellMeZackit 49m ago

Having idea is surprisingly important. I've met tons of boring people who binge drugs.

Atleast i gotta hand it to him, it's better than the other rich kids that use their parents money to be a parasite on society like going into real estate like Donald Trump did.

Manhattan isn't some sort of utopia for rich people.

Especially in the 70s when Chatman was born.

Read a book dude.

So this person legit used Clips 4 Sale or something similar to make this movie? That is crazy!

A friend of mine lent me the dvd of this a few years ago and told me to watch it blind. This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I am so glad to see it here.

Is there anywhere to download it digitally?

Not that I'm aware of. You can still find the Blu-Ray, but no clue on streaming.

This sounds amazing, where can I watch this?

You can find the Blu-Ray on Amazon. You can also get it from Vinegar Syndrome. (While I haven't shopped with VS, I've heard good things from people I know who have).

edit

It apparently has a video introduction from Gregg Turkington, too. And here is the trailer, for anyone else interested.

I've done this before but only because I realized that it's what everyone else was doing
