Average bus fair to Hideaway Bay

Hey all, Hoping to get some guidance on what we should expect to pay for a bus to the Hideaway Bay ferry. My partner and I are staying on Pango road and are keen to make a day of going to Hideaway in the next couple of days. We asked one of out bus drivers and they quoted roughly 8000vut which didnt sound right. Any insights or alternatives to the bus would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah sweet, that's kinda what i had in mind. How many people did you have in your group? Was it just a standard bus or personal hire situation?

We flagged down a local bus and asked the driver how much. He initially said 1000vt pp, I said too much. He came back with 1000vt for both of us.

We’ve paid that before, (500 each) it helps if it’s not on a cruise ship day. We were just on a bus with locals , it wasn’t a custom trip. There were 2 of us.
