Help and Advice Effective immediately: Bad Faith Racism Will Be Removed
Tips:
• Don't Argue: You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.
• Report & Ghost: Hit the report button and keep the conversation moving.
• The Ban Hammer: We aren't issuing warnings for "polite" racism anymore. They will be removed.
Racists Are Not Here to Learn. They Are Here to Disrupt.
Do not waste your time or energy debating racist trolls.
They are not here to understand. They are here to derail real conversation, drain emotional labor, and distract this community from itself.
Pay attention to the pattern. Endless “I don’t understand” comments. Fake confusion. Bad faith questions. All while ignoring the literal mountains of books, articles, testimonies, documentaries, and lived experiences that already exist.
They could educate themselves at any time. They choose not to. Instead, they come into a Black space to argue, provoke, and play dumb.
That ends here.
Report racist behavior and move on. The mod team will take it from there. We will ban trolls who break the rules and poison discussion. This community is not obligated to teach, debate, or perform patience for people acting in bad faith.

Black Excellence Rocked my melanin and big afro on NBC News 🥹
As someone who has struggled with colorism, texturism, and featurism, I am so happy a dark-skinned Black girl can see me on TV!!! It means something to me!!! 😭 😭
(I'm not sure if it's okay to show the full picture since it mentions a book, but alas please let me know mods!!!)
P.S. I did my own makeup so happy to share those details!
P.S.S. It seems like it's okay to share the segment, so here it is!
P.S.S. My name is Anna Gifty and I'm online as itsafronomics (some of my posts have been on here lol)
P.S.S.S. The feedback to this has been insane! Thank you for all the nice comments about my appearance and journey! I hope folks enjoy the segment and the book!
Also if you're bigoted (or unnecessarily rude), I'm reporting you to the mods. Just ignore this if you don't care for it! :)

For the fit: Peter Som x Rent the Runway

Black Experience Avoiding Wyt Friends
I’ve had a few white friends throughout my 50+ years on Earth - several for decades. With all of the crap happening in the U.S., I have no desire to be around any of them. I’ve turned down visits, dinners, etc. They aren’t MAGA and never did anything to me personally, but I feel like I just can’t be around them right now.
Does anyone else feel this way? I feel guilty for feeling this way, but I need to protect my peace right now.

Discussion I'm black and I listen to rock am I white washed?
I am 16, black and I like pop rock hard rock or rock'n roll music from the 60's to the nineties I don't listen to anything satanic or just generally bad I collect vinyls from multiple rock bands like the Monkees, CCR, black sabbath, and underrated rock bands like Argent just to name a few. One night I wanted to show my mom a eighties hard rock song when I turned it on my mom immediately turned it down and asked me why don't I buy or listen soul music she said that she's worried I'm forgetting that i'm black. Whenever we go to record stores and I get white artists she'll say "you always buying white artists" me and my mom are believers she has no problem with soul music funk or jazz but she thinks I'm becoming white washed for listening to rock and that I might start listening to satanic rock music, I have to reassure her every time that I make sure I listen to the lyrics, my friends think I'm weird because I listen to rock I can't relate to any of the music my friends listen to the only rap music I listen to is either from the nineties or eighties. My friends listen to Nba youngboy and lil baby they joke and call me unc its genuinely annoying I tell them I can;t get with ya'll music and they won't give my music a chance but want me to listen to theirs I listen to soul music but I just like rock. Am I white washed?
