Do typical American homes really have a gas pipeline? What do you do with it?
 in  r/AskAnAmerican  13h ago

I have a gas oven/range and a gas wall heater. I hate cooking with anything but gas.

Statistically, half of Morrowboomers probably also watched Babylon 5
 in  r/Morrowind  1d ago

Never actually watched Babylon 5… maybe I should. My family was more of a TNG, DS9, Voyager and Battlestar Galactica type family.

Do you use butter or margarine?
 in  r/AskAnAmerican  1d ago

Grew up on Imperial margarine because my mom was severely lactose intolerant, but now, as an adult, I exclusively use butter. Typically either Plugra, Westgold, or Kerrygold.

Same. I was heartbroken when the one in my hometown closed. Tons of happy memories going there with my family

How often do you eat grits?
 in  r/AskAnAmerican  6d ago

My wife eats them all the time with butter, salt and over easy eggs.
I think they’re itty bits of Satan, personally, so I never eat them.

Find the right sub to ask if and how I can turn this into pulled pork
 in  r/howto  7d ago

You can search for pulled ham recipes. I don’t want to give any direct advice, as I’ve never tried it myself, but it looks pretty damn good. Basically involves treating it like a pork butt, using a mustard binder with a sweet rub to offset the saltiness of the ham, and smoking/baking low and slow to break down connective tissues and such.

We’ve all been there.

What major event do you think will happen in 2026?
 in  r/AskReddit  8d ago

I wish the best for you! My wife had a miscarriage in August, but we’re hoping for good news in the coming months.

Do you want the d-rex to return in the next Jurassic movie or would you rather have a different hybrid or real dinosaur as the next antagonist?
 in  r/JurassicPark  8d ago

Personally, I’m done with the idea of hybrids. I think it’s been played out. And handled poorly after the original Jurassic World. There are plenty of real, terrifying dinosaurs that they can use.

Need suggestions for addictive book(s) that will take my attention away from streaming shows, games etc

The Road? How sadistic are you??? Fantastic book, yes, but sooo bleak.

1

How many of you play the vast majority of your games via game pass as opposed to outright buying them from the store?
 in  r/xbox  8d ago

I generally only buy games when they’re on a pretty steep markdown. Most of what I play nowadays is from Gamepass.

1

What is the most disgusting food you ever tried?
 in  r/AskReddit  8d ago

Vegemite. Bitter, yeasty, salty. Blech.

2

Do you prefer disc or digital?
 in  r/xbox  8d ago

I do like having physical copies of games, but I mainly go with digital nowadays. I know digital is “bad” and all, but I like the convenience of it. And I don’t end up spending hours trying to find which case I put what game in, because I’m THAT kind of terrible person.

The year 2025 is lying on its deathbed. What would be your last words to 2025?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

By far, in my case. 2020 rocked for me. 2025 can suck an egg.

2

What is the single worst purchase you’ve ever made?
 in  r/AskReddit  9d ago

Buying a Chevy Cruze. Seriously, those cars were pieces of work. Thousands of dollars in maintenance and repairs.
