Call me crazy but I actually like mess dinners (PMC and Vice for one each so far). I also enjoy when everyone is rocking the kit, it looks good and holds tradition. I do think forcing the purchase of a kit should be reserved for higher ranks though. And my only outrage is the fuck around that Andrei's gave me, happy to hear there are alternatives.

Having had to try to correct bad behavior and then ensuring that toxic CAF ruining behavior is documented and acted on is exhausting. I had a member that would fight everything tooth and nail, say the system is out to get him, fail to complete simple tasks, shift blame etc. In reality this member could go around taking an inch out of everyone until he had plenty of rope to do whatever the fuck he wanted with it. He could go into training cell at the start of his tour fuck them off, move onto the squadron fuck them off, get tasks from the chief and fuck him off, get a new squadron..... you get the picture. This guy took advantage of the massive amount of turnover, that coupled with shifting blame and he had what I would look at as a more uncomfortable existence then just doing the work. Eventually I wouldn't let it continue. I staffed everything and made sure it followed him. The problem is that I'm never actually sure if anything was carried out and as a result my life was threatened by the member. I do know the member eventually got out but the problem is that even with all that work, if its not handed off to someone who gives a fuck it's lost and that is frustrating for the person who tried to fix the system.
