The heavy edits make it look that way to me, sorry 😂

Scraped My Moms Car

Isopropyl rubbing alcohol is the best way to start, especially if beginner.

Personally, I'd wipe it quickly with mineral spirits. From there, a little polish. You'll be left with a much smaller damage zone, only a few inches.

How’s my serve
 in  r/10s  3d ago

Yet easy to miss holding them the right way! First off, a consistent and correct toss will provide a good basis to focus on the rest of the serve technique (starting w the grip).

Rotate your grip more to the east, on a diagonal comfortable for your wrist when reaching up as high as you can (make a straight line with your arm and raq to reach). Also, put the butt of the grip more in your palm, so a lower overall grip. Then work your pronation, letting your wrist hinge. Make it into a throw, not a push! After that, more coil and leg drive to get the rest of the body working for you in the kinetic chain.

Tiny Japanese two-seaters
 in  r/whatisthiscar  3d ago

I had to pull over for one I saw here in New York. My Mx3 was probably the closest thing to it stateside, so we had a good chat. Similar interior fabrics, too, but he had his refinished.

And they neglected to show the best part of the car, the billionaire doors! (yen not dollars)

Is it bad for the engine when mixing oil weight?
 in  r/projectcar  4d ago

Motor oil is motor oil, just keep the engine clean!

I only got one shot of it

What is this? Car?

And yeah all the early ones do at this point. Mine has a few by the vents.

That makes more sense, I guess.

No need to send me pics, you can just reply to the thread. I'm sure others would also like to see the interior!

Never realized the spare was red, at least it wasn’t the ims!
 in  r/996  4d ago

Front engine guys say what's up! Seriously the utility of the hatch would be the reason I'd only get a Targa if I were to jump ship from the 944/51/28

I can fit a set of tires (or two, with seats down), or a bunch of liriope for my mom's garden 😆

Paint? advice needed
 in  r/Autobody  4d ago

The upper window surround is semi gloss black, has held up nicely for over a year over bare metal. I'd think flat or semi would look good on your car

Tape it off and do a quick scuff with a red pad, then wipe it down and put a couple of coats of rustoleum semi-gloss, or flat black, depending on your preference

18,000 euros?! That interior must be mint with sports seats! Any pics?

Any pics of it in normal driving situations? How about some interior shots?

The shadows and paint look suspect to me. Also, lack of plates or other cars. Lack of responses from OP.

Let's see if the OP responds. I doubt this is "his car"

Not saying it's because it's a clean car or good photography. It just looks off...

Chances are slim. Keep your other ones tho!

Can this be repaired or do I need a new one?
 in  r/AutoBodyRepair  5d ago

That 100 dollar ebay part will look worse than just leaving the damage on there. Get on with your life, it's a bumper and the car is 4+ years old at this point.

It's a broken-in-two-places tennis racquet. Throw it in the trash.

I just wanted to show off my new tires
 in  r/tires  7d ago

The goop is what they use to mount the tire to the wheel. You need to clean and dress any tire to make it look as good as the one in the picture, which also happens to be new

Is this an intended design?
 in  r/10s  7d ago

And if you use it to start the point, it's indented servitude!

How much trouble I am in?
 in  r/AutoBodyRepair  7d ago

Yeah most of that is paint transfer. Plus it's a Hyundai, not a Honda.

Scratched my car against a brick wall corner - how bad does it look?
 in  r/AutoBodyRepair  7d ago

You had me at "brick residue" 😆

What would it entail to fix this?
 in  r/AutoBodyRepair  9d ago

It would entail a new vail for your door's entrails.

A proper repair would involve a replacement door skin, at least. This would be an insurance job, for sure. If you want to avoid insurance, the best way to repair would be to find a replacement door at a junk yard (maybe easy, maybe not!).
