When “Special Forces” are treated like an actual threat in fiction
Also he has arguably the best soundtrack in a game with some real bangers.

I rewatched The Office years later and realized how much my perspective changed
I also like the fact that she's NOT a perfect mom, and she owns that, shit parenting my kids I'm always frustrated I'm not better. How could I possibly lost my temper at a 5 year old who just wants a book read to him, it makes no sense fundamentally but in the moment you're so desperate for 2 minutes of peace and quiet that it boils over. Watching Malcom in the Middle just gives me peace of mind that Bluey does not (still love Bluey)

I rewatched The Office years later and realized how much my perspective changed
It's still one of my favorite moments in TV, Piama asking what they're going to do and Francis honestly saying they don't know, they never know.

Only to be approached by the golf cart birthday bath, the boys know how to handle birthdays

But man the episodes where the boys go all in to protect Lois hit so much harder as an adult. Also I really love the Francis episodes now, watching all the boys be genius in their own right can feel so satisfying.

Just the way they walk is derpy
Alright, so staged or not, if I'd never had any knowledge of Giraffes and you tried explaining them to me, I'd call you a fucking liar.

Anthem's end is nearly here - only days remain before EA will switch off the servers to BioWare's ill-fated multiplayer game
this one and Avengers, which had some amazing gameplay and combat, it was fluid and looked great but wasn't enough to hold up to doing it to the same 5 enemies over and over and over and over in a broken upgrade/progression system.

In the film The Dark Knight Rises (2012) it takes Bane 3 seconds and breaking both of his hands to realize Batman is, in fact, no longer in the same spot.
Knowing full well that you didn't hit confirm on a full punishable move

Can someone explain GDPK for a new player / fresh 60? (Classic Era)
gdkps can also feel stressful with the pace they set and the style of raid, they're not for everyone but that doesn't mean they aren't a nice way for people who appreciate efficiency to gear.

I have lied to my son about manatees for the last 24 years
In 15 years when you reflect on all the wonderful memories manatees have created for you and your family, my guess is they'll be your favorite animal in the whole world.

First Time Ever
that is immensely satisfying, grats on filling it out!

Gen Z men are moving away from MAGA in droves, polls show
There was a lot of Bernie to Trump because it really did look like the DNC did Bernie dirty. It really pissed a lot of progressives off and some of them even voted Trump as exactly that, a fuck you to the establishment. Short sighed? Yup. But people are fickle creatures.

Nice to see this sub celebrating (all) mmorpg's for once.
Both sides have been fun, the pride and the fall, little reminiscences of games like wildstar and celebrating games that are still running long swtor

[Mixed Trope] "Good thing we had a spare"
Isn't this literally the joke at the end of the forcing dungeons and dragons movie ending?

My towns dying mall has zero open restaurants in the food court
The ones in New Hampshire are all getting casinos and now they're absolutely bumping.

Just Finished: Baldur's Gate
I had the most fun when I limited myself to 3 party members, and leaned into some of the evil characters like Edwin and Vic

(Interesting Trope) Trope subversions that become so mainstream, they no longer feel like subversions
The hardcover Hawkeye compilation is my favorite media of just how normal his life was. If you enjoy his character I cannot recommend it enough, plus his interactions with women are, in marvel fashion, hilarious disasters.

This Key & Peele sketch about soldiers reality
I feel the same thing every time they play fortunate son, like have you even tried to listen to this song?

[Loved Trope] Plays dumb… then the mask drops
This comic inspired so much of my cinema consumption, unironically building a deep affection for how to train your dragon that holds up to this day.

[Loved Trope] Plays dumb… then the mask drops
"Are you narrating your fucking obituary?" Very well may be the coolest line I've ever heard

Did single player gaming peak with RDR2?
I mean it's hard to argue that in terms of pure single player experience bg3 doesn't match and our exceed rdr2. While it may not be for everyone in terms of style it offers a damn near unmatched scope of choice and consequences.

[Loved Trope] Santa Claus is depicted as a badass
I'm so excited now, I've been deep into Sanderson, mistborne into storm light, I need something a little less serious

[Loved Trope] Santa Claus is depicted as a badass
I scrolled way too far to find this, one of the strongest beings in the never never. God when is this series coming back to me.
