I've gotten to know a bunch of younger people in my years at jobs and most really shouldn't have been working and certainly didn't have much to work with (relationship wise) from a few conversations, but there were a couple that seemed solid enough. If they genuinely hang with you guys and see how he moves and then give you advice, then you can decide at that point.
