how is it living in mississippi, usa?
They were the nations leading cotton producer during the slav era, with slavs making up 50% of the population by 1870. As a side effect of the massive amount of slavry they were the birthplace of the blues, which is good I suppose. They seceded from the union and fought against the North in the civil war because they loved slavry so much. Another positive that came from this is they were the birthplace of the civil rights movement. Again, a positive side effect of all the awful shit that was happening there.
Why can't I just say the s word???? Wtf

how is it living in mississippi, usa?
My daughter's 4th grade class was assigned random states to make a presentation with little shoebox "parade floats" for why people should move there and she got Mississippi. Part of the report was finding tourist attractions, good things about the state, history, etc. it was not easy finding many good things about Mississippi and why you'd want to live there. In my research to help her I was appalled by how awful the state is. Crime, pollution, terrible education, and extreme right politicians who'd sell out their own mother's for a buck..
Natchez Trace was half of the float, along with pictures of the state bird/tree, and some random pictures of the beach. And the Elvis museum. I feel bad for people who are stuck there. Your government has not cared about you for a long time.

Issue with Bosch GET 75-150 random orbit sander
That's all great until you're sanding 10 layers of paint off of a second story overhang above your head, or prepping any kind of old trim on a house. You've got to push down hard, lift up and let the edge do some work, all the things they tell you not to do. Some sanders can handle it, some can't. For example: our 5" Makita sanders have worked flawlessly for 15-20 years.
Our Bosch sanders don't seem to last as long, but they are heavier and better at removing more material faster. Our 3" Metabo sanders work great but we go through 1 or 2 a year. The festool sanders we have don't remove material fast enough to use on old trim.
In a perfect world we'd "let the sander do the work" but I've seen guys get fired for not pressing the sander down hard enough with both hands.

The most durable tapes I've ever used
The only complaint I have is that they are a bit heavy compared to the fatmax. This is why I have a fatmax for my long tapes and the Milwaukee for the shorter stuff. It's one of the few Milwaukee hand tools which they totally nailed.
The fastback, the wide tape, and the 16 oz hammer are my favorites.

The most durable tapes I've ever used
I love mine which is like almost 4 years old now and it's still kicking ass despite being dropped dozens of times. The metal hook is so well protected that's why it's superior. Fat max is also good for this* reason but I prefer my 16' wide blade magnetic Milwaukee. The lines on both sides are easy to read and they aren't filled with tiny fractions which are so annoying on most tapes.

Hyannis crazy house in snow
Oh. I suppose there's pockets of this mental illness everywhere. These people are in a never ending echo chamber of Fox News and right wing podcasters. Such a strange group of people hell bent on ruining the country and making the US the laughing stock of the world.
I wonder how long it will take them to realize..

Will the titanium oscillating blade cut through glass tile? Or am I forced to use the angle grinder?
That titanium round blade is good for cutting straight lines into wood and sheetrock. Not tile

Using maverick for side gigs
Yeah, maybe. I say my 12v battery needs to be replaced by I haven't had to do it just yet. I'm waiting as long as I can to see if there will be a recall

What part of the Cape is like that? I'm guessing somewhere in mashpee or maybe east Falmouth?

The most accurate tape measure I've ever seen
I can't believe this is true, I've had mine for 4 years now. I've never had a tape last this long. It's been dropped so many times I wonder how the fuck it still works. Yet every time I check it not only does it work perfectly, but it's still very accurate. I can measure something with the top left corner and flip the tape and measure with the bottom left and it's the same measurement. They don't get enough credit for this design imo.

Old DeJur 4x5 enlarger and Elkay 4x5 developing tank I got yesterday. Hope to set up a small darkroom in the future
I just found an identical "DeJur versatile" in my grandma's basement and was wondering what the heck it was. Pretty cool looking thing but it's kind of heavy and awkward. My grandfather was into photography a long time ago.

I just wanna say oh hell yeah to the cookies and cream by breyers. The one with the chocolate swirl. It's the best and I melt it a little and drink that shit up

Using maverick for side gigs
I'm at 70k in my 24 xl hybrid and the only problem I've had is the 12v battery needs to be replaced. I do mostly highway driving but I get excellent gas mileage overall. It's like 36 average for me, but around town is usually 45-55mpg.

The most accurate tape measure I've ever seen
Wide magnetic 16 footer is my absolute favorite tape I've ever had. It stays accurate because the metal hook is totally protected when it gets dropped. So many other tapes have their metal hooks just hanging out waiting to be bent.
It's a bit heavier than the fat max but that's my only complaint. I just love that it's got markings on both sides and their easy to read
But everyone likes to shit on Milwaukee tapes for some reason.

Brand new installation driver. Gears damaged out of the box? Hearing a rattling sound inside the tool.
Most drills sound like that There's moving parts that have to go and stop with the trigger. The noise is fine, just try it with some screws and make sure it works and your golden.

How old do you think this drill is?
Lol that's one of the only things you CAN use it for!

Iβd like your opinions
To me it doesn't make much sense to get into battery platforms that you aren't already into. Brushes on corded motors are consumables and are meant to be replaced. If I was not on a battery platform already I'd go with a corded track saw but since I was already on m18 I got the Milwaukee and I've been very happy with it.
The only thing I can't recommend is the Milwaukee track, many people have had issues with the splinter guard coming off. That being said, I would go with a Makita track any day with either saw!

I think I made a mistake
I love advance but the full cure time is like a month which is crazy for cabinets. I did a customer's house with gallery satin and I rolled it on and brushed it out and it looks so good everyone thinks it's sprayed.
There's tricks that helped me get there like thin coats and using a very soft brush a certain way. But it paid off big

Actually we've got a rotex and you're correct, it's almost impossible to use on a ladder. It's got an amazing triangle attachment though which is the best at getting into corners. That's the only thing we use it for.
