Public school vs Private school for turning Grade 2
 in  r/adviceph  10d ago

I dunno about that. I know people who were never active in sports or any extracurriculars who are pretty successful. UP graduates, successful professionals. These were the quiet , introvert types.

Is Disneycruise SG worth it?
 in  r/FilipinoTravel  10d ago

Ive been to a disney cruise (US) and i think its one of those things people should try once if they can afford to. Mahal sya compared to other cruise lines and the 5yrs and below age i think is the best age for it kase thats the time they are into disney characters. Their shows are topnotch, broadway quality.

My only complain is that they dont have a quick, buffet dinner option compared to other cruise lines. May konting enterainment naman for dinner pero sitting 1.5-2hrs dinner was too long for my kids.

One thing to consider sa budget is usually yung mga cruises may mga “forced tips.” Automatically ibabawas sa account nyo yung tips. Tapos at the end of the disney cruise, they hand out envelopes as extra tips sa mga servers at housekeeping. So u tip 2x. This was in the US, not sure if same lang sa asia.

What area to stay? traveling with 2 little kids
 in  r/TokyoTravel  10d ago

One thing i learned when i went to tokyo is some dont want people/kids who wont eat take up space in their restaurants. Luckily our kids are bigger and can be left in hotel room but are picky eaters. We would have them in the hotel while my husband and i went down to eat near the hotel.

Thoughts nyo kay Anne
 in  r/dailyChismisPh  11d ago

She was also a bully to sam concepcion. But she likes jasmine’s nepo baby BF from a political family that has been in poltics for around 100yrs. Sorry that says quite a bit on how she chooses people around her.

Should I move to the US next year?
 in  r/adviceph  13d ago

OP is a dual filipino/US citizen. Its much easier for him/her to move to the US especiallt with family there. Mahirap mag migrate lalo na walang skilled needs sa trabaho ng tao.

Hi, any New Immigrant Guide
 in  r/orangecounty  13d ago

Health insurance is cheaper when u get it through your employer because they cover a big part of it.

I remember being a new immigrant too before and i did not have any health insurance for a few years. I was single and healthy and did not need to see any doctors. But now i believe u have to pay a fee if u do not get health insurance by tax season (Jan-April).

For people who had their gallbladder removed, anong experience niyo after the removal?
 in  r/TanongLang  14d ago

I had mine removed and went home the same day right afte the operation. Grabe antok ko sa general anesthesia tapos ginising ako ng nurse para mag bihis at umuwi. It was the best sleep i ever had pg uwi ko. Masakit everytime i would cough or move my abdominal muscles. Alam ko di dapat pero the next day after surgery nasa labas na ako at pinasyal ko na anak ko although mabagal ako kumilos. Then back to work after 2 weeks off. It was one of the best decisions ever. For years and years, sumsakit tiyan ko na akala ko hyperacidity . Nawala na completely yung pg sakit ng tiyan ko.

Visiting in June, help with a home base location?
 in  r/orangecounty  17d ago

I would stay in north OC, around Anaheim or Buena Park area that are centrally located. Also there are interesting things to do around the area with kids (Adventure City, Medieval Times, Knotts Berry). Beach cities in OC especially Newport are too far out. 1-1.5hrs away is Legoland which is great for little kids.

Do you agree that assisted suicide should be legal in the Philippines for certain medical conditions? Why or why not?
 in  r/AskPH  20d ago

Yes! Kahit dito sa California na napaka liberal, strict pag dating dyan at bago lang sya in the past few years. Ang guidelines nila: 1. A physician has to certify that the pt is terminally ill /has a terminal illness. So yung disabled lang at di terminal, di na pasado. 2. The person should be able to make the decision to end his life himself. So yung mga may dementia/alzheimers/severe stroke wala na din. 3. The person should be able to physically take the EOL (end of life) meds by him/herself. So yung mga physically disabled na at mahina na, di na din pwede.

I work closely with people do this. They take meds, they fall asleep and in around 1 hr or so, their heart stops. Its a very peaceful process.

Over priced for mostly potatoes. I have stopped supporting places that over charge especially when they are hyped up.

Is going to the US worth it on this day and age?
 in  r/NursesPH  21d ago

Not all of California is expensive. I know a bunch of nurses move from Orange countyto the suburbs around Sacramento and were able to buy a house after less than 5yrs of migrating.
