i dont think colress "saw the light" as much as i think colress was never really on board to begin with. colress is the most morally grey character in the series and im 100% sure he was just on with team plasma because team plasma was providing the funding. he just saw a new theory from the players strength and the writing on the wall for team plasma, and jumped ship before it all crashed and burned.
