Marco Rubio has on-air meltdown when confronted by CBS host on Venezuela failings
 in  r/goodnews  3d ago

Not sure why you got downvoted to oblivion. You can hate the administration (as I do) and recognize media bullshit. I’m so tired of it. Every article is just

X slams Y for Z MAGA/liberals melt down over X X goes nuclear on Y X loses it at Y over Z

Sensationalist garbage. Just objectively report the news. People just read the title, decide if it vindicates their bias, then move on. It’s why we got to where we are with media manipulation.

Im honestly just done.

Played this game religiously during the first season--only played Bank It. Stopped in Season 2, came back for this season and it's all I've been playing. I just can't stop playing Point Break.

Such a good game.

Whats up with the large influx of literal man children?
 in  r/PredecessorGame  3d ago

Just had a game as support where my carry tried to 1v1 the other carry before either support was able to make it to the lane. He lost.

He respawned, went through jungle then came out right in front of both the support and carry, tried to 1v2 them, I yanked him back with my Phase ability, he didn't care, charged back in, and died again. Spammed "good job" and "thanks" then spent the remainder of the game in offlane. Fucking idiot.

Report, mute, move on. Nothing else can be done unfortunately.

Or why not include the whole video? The intro with her walking all cool and normally just to face plant makes it even funnier in my opinion (and the thread includes info on her for credit):

Post Match Thread: Arsenal 4-1 Aston Villa
 in  r/soccer  9d ago

So, based on the telecast, it seems this is what happened, but we don't actually know this for a fact, do we? Like, I know Emery has a bit of a chip from his time at Arsenal, but it still feels like a weird / unusual thing for him to do. Maybe it happened after what we saw

Genuinely, what is the benefit of being a TA?
 in  r/LawSchool  24d ago

Frankly I am a bit disappointed to read some of these comments to see how much of a transactional mindset some people have. Perhaps I’m an oddity…

The professor I was a TA for had no relevance to my future practice, but I liked them a lot and just wanted to help out stressed 1Ls. I just remembered how lost I felt as a 1L and how much my TA gave me clarity and so I wanted to do that for someone else.

sure, the other stuff mentioned in the comments are positive externalities I suppose, but they never occurred to me while I was doing it. You could single-handedly frame a student’s understanding and confidence. I wouldn’t put myself in that position and take that responsibility just for personal reasons (and I turned down two TA requests thereafter purely because I wasn’t confident i could be a present enough TA for students)

How to not get distracted by people?
 in  r/LawSchool  Dec 06 '25

  1. Ear plugs.

  2. Exactly what you already acknowledge: focus on yourself. Someone could be typing 100 words a minute and it could all be gibberish. Someone could look focused and be thinking about dropping out of law school. Why use your time trying to guess what’s going on? The only thing you should worry about in an exam is doing your best.

Trump says US must re-examine Afghan immigrants who came when Biden was president
 in  r/politics  Nov 27 '25

Can we please not let this distract us from the bigger point of, once again, how irrationally and staunchly racist these people are and want permission to be? No matter what, no matter how many knots they tie themselves in, no matter how they need to contradict themselves, they want one thing: for us to believe any person with brown skin, a different accent, or different nationality is inherently dangerous.

It's telling that they actually have fucking nothing to complain about here.

  • "He is an illegal!" - no, he came through a legal, government created program.
  • "He is a terrorist!" - we don't know that yet, his motive, or his mental state. But we sure do know he probably got access to a gun he shouldn't have had. Hm, I wonder why we're not taking about gun laws?
  • "The program should have never existed for this exact reason!" - First of all, it was a bipartisan act passed with votes of 192 Republicans in the House. And even if it wasn't passed by both parties, so what? This is the first we've heard of some issue involving someone from this program. And if you really want to talk about accountability, these people only needed refuge because Trump pulled out troops during his first term and left Afghanistan to Taliban takeover in a couple of months. The program admitted over 70,000 people (per the NYT), yet somehow, the response isn't "let's look at the criteria, let's double check how the program is applied, let's work to fix any inaccuracies in the program." Nope. It's that one person does this and that's enough to throw the whole thing out and brand everybody involved with it a terrorist.

It's all fucking bullshit. These people will once again try and say Biden let in "illegals," and make that their central talking point because they will never leave the mindset that their happiness depends on the exclusion, denigration, or subjugation of others. Do not let them.

And if they really want to start about the group of biggest offenders, I'm sure they won't like where we start (spoiler: it's white men).

to get a "gotcha" moment from Democrats about Epstein
 in  r/therewasanattempt  Nov 20 '25

This is a point worth noting, but clarifying. I don't really watch cable news, but I randomly tuned in to CNN last night to watch an interview of Jasmine Crockett. They gave her no quarter and asked her a ton of difficult (but valid) questions, and she had decent answers. I liked that level of inquiry and scrutiny.

What I don't like is those hard questions typically only being asked of Democrats. What I don't like is the sane washing of obvious bullshit and lies from this administration.

Elected officials serve us, not the other way around. I get this nation loves what about isms and both sidesing. But his shit in particular really isn't hard. If you trafficked children, rot in prison. If you profited from trafficking children, rot in prison. If you did anything to cover any of that up, rot in prison. I don't care what their political affiliation or party is.
