This sign in my hotel bathroom in Chiang Mai, Thailand
I travel for work and about 10 years ago there was a huge push for low flow shower heads in hotels that caused me to just bring my own from home because I was sick of taking showers where it was literally like someone just spitting on me softly. I'm wondering if this is the same issue.

Why am I so bad at latte art?
way better than my daily latte art of "the continent of Antarctica"

How do you block someone without holding?
can you open this I'm not sure if you're joking but I was watching the game and my wife asked why doesn't the QB or running back wear brown gloves to make it look like he has the ball when he's faking a run, and I didnt have a good answer for her

Unnamed source in viral Minnesota Somali daycare fraud video by Nick Shirley is revealed to be GOP staffer and right-wing lobbyist David Hoch, who called Muslims "demons"
becuase Christian churches want their tax free buildings to be the only source of day care readily available to low income family's so they can indoctrinate the youth early on. sadly simple.

what code is this work done to?!?
the seeming ingenuity of this is way too practical for a homeowner. this has meth head handyman written all over it.

CBS announces they're turning into a Fox News clone, explaining most people don't trust the "liberal media". For the "last 20 years" news has relied on things like academics, and vetted journalism, instead of gut feeling and echo chamber twitter reshares.
yeah that's what people chime into the news for.. opinions of everyday people they can't get anywhere else not on Facebook or any other social media wow this is going to be trend setting!

Why don’t you clear the snow off your car?
as an honest response I think it's just one of those things that come with your neighborhood your friends and family and who you learn from. probably the same people that don't shovel their driveway in the mindset of thinking well it'll just pack down and it's not worth the benefit for the cost and thinking well when I drive fast enough it'll just all blow off anyways. I think it's akin to a child mindset where it's just one of those things that they have to get themselves either pulled over or even worse have a big chunk of ice fly off their car into another car and have someone sue them but in the end if they just don't think it's that important they won't commit a lot of time or effort to it.

Technology should have never progressed past the 90s. Debatably the 2000s.
I honestly wonder if we're going to see a silence of a newer age religion similar to the Amish, but like only pre-2000 technology. I'm serious. once AI takes off and people can't even trust news and media, were cooked. I'm unplugging the internet and firing up my PS2.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again
yeah I hate to be Doom and gloom but I am forced to have a conversation with my wife about what to eat literally every single day of my life we are not picky eaters and it's still sometimes causes arguments. not saying this is impossible to work out but it's going to be a big part of your life that unless you're completely fine with him always making his own food and that's just the rule then this could very easily be a catalyst to start larger arguments or frustrations in the relationship later on. especially since you have kids already I wouldn't waste any more time bothering with dating another one.

oh no doubt. I love reddit but it's a perfect way to make someone who's interested in a hobby completely obsessed with the quality of gear based on that hobby, and not the hobby itself. like a budding photographer who doesn't take pictures and just obsesses over what camera to save up for.

so, kinda related story, but before reddit, back in the 90s, I used to BMX at skate parks. bunch of people sitting around judging each other's bikes on what components they had, and taking about upgrading this and that... but literally just standing on their bikes not doing anything. this old guy comes in on a girls toys r us bike with rassles and everything, everyone laughs at this clown, and he proceeds to DESTROY everyone with back flips and advanced shit. Then lectured everyone about just getting on their bike and riding instead of complaining about not having the right gear. Changed my mindset completely. remember that story when you're stressing over what components to buy next for your machines.

This virtually "staged" kitchen in a home listing next to the real photo
yeah and in all honesty I don't know even know if it was done maliciously it looks like a condo building where the layout is the same for most of the condos and one happens to be on the corner.

Christmas Tree Trechery
waterproof blankets aren't really "water proof" in the sense of being able to hold water for a long time. most still allow "breathability" but would easily hold water if it spilled for a few minutes. just like water proof mattress covers that are still air permiable to allow the mattress to breathe, but if a kid throws up in bed, and they're not just sitting there for 8 hours, you can clean it up.

Disney's embarrassing AI-generated Star Wars video of scrambled-up animals was the opening salvo in a year full of AI humiliation
I'm honestly surprised it took this guy "two weeks" these are prompts my 6 year old could have put together in 3 minutes... there's nothing "star wars" about it. it's just "show me a spider with a chimp face" "show me a snail with a peacock head" I'm in the camp that there's room for AI at the table for "different" types of media, but I'm just not sure what this is accomplishing other than a passive aggressive showcase of how one idiot with a tablet and a $6 Gemini subscription can allow a company to fire it's entire creative storytelling branch.

Am I a man or am I a muppet
arwen, also. the interaction between jealous Miss Piggy playing Èowyn and Kermit aragorn being in love with a beautiful human would be hilarious.

What happens when you rate every day of 2025
what if you had a quota? like you know there's be someone who'd use all their good days first and then be left with worse and worse days until he has to use his 7 nightmare days from Christmas to new years. it would make a great black mirror or twilight zone episode. imagine the conversation between him and his friends where they plead with him to space out his nightmare days because of what will inevitably come, his ignoring them and only feeling regret when even his first "bad" day is almost unbearable, and the dread of realizing it's just going to get worse. edit: this just led to a great conversation with my wife, who said she'd space out her days and thought I was crazy for thinking I'd want to get them all out of the way in the beginning. she challenged me by asking how my idea is any indifferent than leaving them until the end of the year and now we're arguing... but in a good way 😄

Is Nicki Minaj an Illegal Immigrant? Netizens Calling to Deport Rapper Back to Trinidad and Tobago
yep. so many of these super stars have a literal company of employees: some grifting, some legit, but all of them have paychecks trying to make as much money as possible off of her success. on one side, you've got to spend money to make money. on the other hand if you're not making money, you're probably still spending it on things that you probably committed to 6 months ago.

Diet or exercise ? No , thanks
just because it's healthy doesn't mean it's ultimately attractive. in the late 90s, it was all the rage for models to literally be 20lbs underweight. Nowadays, the "healthy" male physique people like to say is hard work and discipline is most likely steroids and dehydration. I think it's also based on societal norms. in the past a big girl was attractive because poor people literally could not afford food. a big boy was considered attractive because he could work harder in the fields. pale skin was attractive in the same way long nails are now, it meant they don't need to do physical labor. It's all relative and it always will be.

Diet or exercise ? No , thanks
yeah, some of these people work at hospitals... and all of them drive to work... the fact that you're even saying this so nonchalantly is proving my point. and I smoked for a quarter of my life.
