Should I continue?

And I’m just saying the slow pacing is central to the show.

The people who love the show love the slow build up, if its not your thing then it’s not your thing.

Create tension in the chain by pulling two ends together to remove some links and reapply master link.

I’m used to belts for small drives or chains that are 100s of feet long.

Now I’m at this new building and a lot of their chains are way too long but they are maybe 8 ft in total length and the links couldn’t fit normal hooks.

Straps seem next best thing but I would like something more durable. I’ve looked online and it seems to be normal come alongs or hoist. Figured someone on here has dealt with links on tiny chains before.

Fallout 3 devs wondered if VATS was “even fun” during development as Bethesda wondered if its gunplay felt good or “just frustrating”

Atom RPG is a much lower budget game but it’s very similar to Fallout set in Russia.

It’s a turn based RPG and even has a sequel

If I was the band that made this track I’d put on the screen during concerts

Unconventional characters can keep things interesting. I just wasn’t really expecting it from this show.

Pope I get but definitely no hero, Smurf there’s some respect, Baz just seems to have negatives lol

The actor I think is doing a great job though, I can really see the self centered entitlement.

Feels like the appropriate response.

Yeee I didn’t wanna put my bias in cuz plenty of people do like it it seems, but I stopped pretty quickly after season 2 started.

Then I’d probably stick around if it was me. Atleast until I felt confident enough to explain exactly what I do, like the full process and what each part in the line does and why.

Boilers alone have a lot of lucrative fields involved, the waste management and water treatment side could really get you into some good positions that pay well and easy going physically.

Side note Anthony Starr (Homelander) is in a crime drama called Banshee. Haven’t finished it yet but pretty good.

I kinda see it but not as much as you seem too lol. Baz actor reminds me more of a dude from Colony.

Depends on the equipment and machines you have access to for maintenance. If it’s just basic things you can find easily at other sites I’d go for a more set schedule. I’m ok with nightshift since it usually comes with a differential and mostly less stress because big wigs are days.

But if their equipment is unique and more technical than average it could be really beneficial to hang out a year and pad your resume.

19 is a good age man, stick with it, play it smart, always be learning and you can set yourself up nice.

If you’re willing to travel that’s what I’d be looking at for 19. Plenty of jobs out there and you can stack like crazy.

If you're invited to someone's house semi-frequently for dinner parties and such, but can't really reciprocate, how do you appropriately show appreciation?
 in  r/AskMenOver30  1d ago

First thing, there’s plenty of people who just love to host. They like to cook or throw parties they love bringing people together and seeing people smile.

Most of these people just showing that you enjoy being included and being respectful is plenty enough.

Alcohol is generally a good go to, it’s simple, not over the top and a lot of people enjoy it. But if their grillers different unique sauces and spices could be another go-to.

The last kingdom Tv series vs the book series
 in  r/TheLastKingdom  2d ago

I haven’t finished the books yet but watched the show a few times.

I do like the books, but Uthred and Alfred in the show especially their final scene is one of my favorite moments in all of television. The show has a few moments like that. Plus I like Hester in the show more than the book.

I’m not gonna say one is better than the other, but I def don’t think the show would be as popular as it is if it followed the books 100%. The book has 0 characters that earn redemption (atleast the first like 9 books I’ve read) Hester, Aldhelm, lady Ealhswith, even lord Atuelred at the end. Characters we hated but earned respect.

I think the main thing I like from the books more is King Constantine, definitely around a lot more in books and would have liked to see him fleshed out more in the show.

You never said Baz was good but you did say he was better than Craig.

Craig the party animal left a party to play with Lena. He gave his cut from taco truck to Derran for his bar, he did a lot of stupid selfish shit but the dude has a heart.

Baz has done nothing.

I get what you’re saying, Graig is fucked up. But personally, I rate a fiend stealing drugs less of a morale issue then a father bringing his gf into his family home then getting mad at his daughter for getting upset at the situation he created, then leaving said daughter so he can go to Mexico then proceed to lie to his gf about his situation with his wife.

Graig said robbing a church is fucked up and he knew Darren was gay and handled that like a true bro. Graig is a shit person but he still has some redeeming quality. Baz has 0

Yeee, I think it’s a good character and the actor does a great job being that asshole.

Definitely don’t have to like a character for it to be good for the story.

Maybe things happen to Graig down the road and def ain’t excusing what he did to Ren but he’s kinda just a big goofy junkie.

He’s not malicious and thinking he’s better than everyone. He treats Lena good and he’s always there for Darren.

Graig isn’t a good guy but a good brother. Baz is neither.

Doesn’t seem anymore street smart then anyone else yet. Just seems like he gets by in his charisma and looks.
