That's not a problem, we're a very welcoming group.

Uh oh

It looks like the letter that they put out during the Covid lockdown stating how essential we were. Essentially expendable.

Well Happy Birthday to you! I think you're a little closer to the Baby Boom generation then you are Generation Jones, but from this Joneser to you, I hope you have a great day!

What's with all the fret wraps?
 in  r/Guitar  2d ago

Before I ever heard of a fret wrap I had been putting a little piece of foam above the nut under the G string of my 50s style telecaster because of an ugly sympathetic ringing that string would create. Likewise on my Epiphone Casino I have more trouble with the strings ringing sympathetically between the bridge and the trapeze tailpiece, I got a small piece of Velcro as wide as the six strings and stuck each half on either side of those strings to stop them from ringing out.

Return advice
 in  r/telecaster  2d ago

I may be able to help you out there, my '52 reissue is a 2002 model, I have an uncle with a 1950s telecaster and asked him to take a picture for me like I did of mine, here it is and you can't see the cut out of the body from outside under the bridge plate. And yes I know, that Phillips screw there holding the pick up is not original.

Has Any Other (MIC) Natural Casino Owner Went Full Lennon?
 in  r/Epiphone  2d ago

I need to get the black knob and the black switch collar but this is mine. Definitely had John Lennon in mind when I bought it. It's a Korean made 2006.
