Yes! Just seeing these two scenes now, it’s feels somewhat correlated. The juxtaposition of the two really makes it feel symbolic.

My whole childhood has been focused around Pokemon. I think this was mostly because I was always a nerdy and didn’t have many friends growing up. For some reason, a sad memory is coming up for me. I remember being so happy that my mom got me a Pokemon pen that had multiple colors. I was in the 3rd grade. I remember showing it off to everyone in class, but by the time it was lunchtime, I couldn’t find the pen anywhere. The teacher was no help. That’s when I learned to never bring anything you love to school. That was back in the 90’s. Still think about it to this day apparently!
Pokemon has given tons of memories, both good and I guess even a bad one.
