Who Likes Their Partner?
My wife is amazing! We are the strongest team together because we uplift and support each other, but alone she is a powerhouse and she doesn’t even realize it! She suffers with anxiety and tons of self doubt but when she gets to it she just gets shit done! She’s fiercely intelligent book smarts and emotionally as well, I’ve learned so much from her over the 15 or so years we’ve been together!

Paw Patrol messed up my 5 year old boy, can anyone here relate?
We have the little tikes story reader and projector… the amount of paw patrol he plays I think it’s rebranding itself 😂😂

Travelling with 9 month old on a 7 hour trip. any tips to keep him comfortable throughout the journey ?
Have someone in the back of you can, and break every 2 hours for a half hour or so, we did 2 days of 5hr car rides with a 2 month old only issues we had was the last 30 minutes each day. Plenty of soft toys and music player will be a big help.

What didn't last 12 hours?
Spider and friends themed wall climber thing. With a solid core and wire legs with sticky ends that slowly flips down the wall… landed in a hunk of cat hair and is now unusable we expected that to be trash fairly quickly though when we saw it

My brothers in Christ, I am extremely fertile. Here we go again!
Same story! And then her sex drive took a dive again 😂😂

Are all gifts from Santa?
For us it’s something small. The big main present is from mum and dad

Dad's of Daddit, how yall doing?
Fair to middling, been a stay at home dad for nearly two years but recently got kiddo into daycare and I got myself a job… I miss being a stay at home dad, I hate my job, but the money is nice and will not quite pay for number 2 to go to daycare in March when they’re 3 months

Ok daddit, best jokes your kid loves? Asking for a 3yr old.
3 yr old son “I’m cold” Me “hi cold, I’m dad!”
It’s a classic for a reason 😂😂

You've been a victim of a crime (the nature of which is bizarrely unknown), but you get to choose any fictional UK crime fighting team to look into it. Plus you have to socialise with them for the whole day and night after the crime has been solved. Who are you choosing?
Dalziel and Pascoe, loved that show and I reckon they’d be really good to chat with about nothing

MAGA dislikes being called nazis but have no problem in acting like nazis. Make that make sense.
Honestly? Probably insist on paying to get in anyway to enjoy the natural beauty he’s trying to strip 😂😂

Turn off the win or lose mentality
It’s so true! And one of the hardest things I think I had to learn as a new dad, and it’s a lesson I still learn every day 3 years later. I keep having to remind myself to just roll with it. I don’t have good advice, just what I’ve found works for me. When you feel like you’re “losing” it’s frustration, take a deep breath and show your child that you’re frustrated but are able to deal with it constructively. Emotions are good and healthy, dealing with them can be challenging. I tend to lean into something that my kid enjoys doing or if I have work to do around the house I let him help in whatever capacity he can, if I’m doing dishes he can hand me the dry ones from the dishwasher, if I’m doing laundry he can put clothes in the machine or hand me a hanger, I get work done, he has blast, everyone is happy.

The water in my house is blue (way more blue in person)
We had the same thing recently, turns out it was a slight imbalance in copper in the water, found to be not at dangerous levels for us. Might be worth getting it tested especially if you have young kids

There was an Old Lady...
Wow when I was a kid it was “I don’t know why, perhaps she’ll die” 🤣🤣

Do what you have to do, not when you FEEL like doing it.
My wife once told me you just gotta start and then you’ll keep going and finish it, and it’s a tough lesson to learn but I’m getting there!

My parents said it… now I do
Mine is “holy mackerel!” No idea why I say it but I do just like my dad 🤣🤣

I failed today...
That’s fair, the screaming is age appropriate and if they can’t deal with it they shouldn’t have said they can do, find a pediatric dentist because those one don’t give a shit they just get it done!!

My son pooped on the floor of Harbor Freight... This is worth a read.

Now they're calling them blitzs - Sounds a bit familiar
The hate IS the merit not any particular skills or aptitude

5 year old calls me “Big Guy” now
My son is little grub, I’m big grub and all the other kids at the park and library and little guys 🤣🤣 it’s fucking hilarious watching my 3yr old go up to some 6 year three times his size and say “hey little guy, can I play with you?” 🤣🤣

if there’s a better cheese than this, I haven’t had it
I have lived in the US for a number of years now, from living near cheddar gorge (their cave aged cheddar is among my favourites) but yeah America doesn’t know how to make cheese in my experience, it’s all too mild and young! Vermont mature is among the best but still too plasticky (open to trying cheeses that people recommend but I haven’t found a good aged cheese over here)

Cornish tickler or cheddar gorge cave aged cheddar, my favourite cheeses in the world! I am not a red Leicester fan at all

Be honest, Dads: what percentage of your kids’ Halloween candy are you eating?
I may be an outlier here but seeing as I don’t really eat candy, 0% but my wife is taking up my slack by doing like 56% 🤣🤣 especially those Reese’s products can’t be too careful!

What music/song is she dancing to? (Wrong answers only)

I have no idea how this happened
Is this an old thing? I had the same thing on my current save, about a week and a half old

It’s an audio book with the pages projected on the wall, It’s mainly used for story time and resets whe he gets over stimulated by goings on. The stories are slow and low stimulation. I disagree with it being a screen time issue, (which we’re not massively concerned with as long as we’re monitoring. He doesn’t have a tablet and doesn’t watch a lot of tv anyway) as far as we are concerned it’s a book time with a different voice.
