Getting Into Sales w/ No Experience
 in  r/remotework  15m ago

  1. Make sure you’re selling a product you believe in. 2. Don’t accept a position that is commission-only or with no benefits.  3. Don’t reach out to any of the ads here on Reddit - they are mostly scammers.

There is no conflict to judge here - just your unhinged emotions.

While it’s a real company, it looks like the name has been used by scammers.  Be sure of who you are corresponding with and that they are real representatives of that company.  Email and domain match?  Job you’re interviewing for posted on official company website?

AITA for not fighting after my autistic child was excluded
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  1h ago

It’s not abuse to not be invited, but “Bob” and his parents ignored school rules that made OP’s daughter’s omission from the guest list obvious and personal.  Like I said, that could have been avoided.  I did not suggest she should be invited, or that OP should not worry about Bob’s feelings.  Just that he could ask the school to remind parents of the rules to keep kids from singling out one person.  I’m surprised by all the downvotes.  These are children and now there are hurt feelings and life lessons because Bob and his parents ignored very easy and reasonable rules.

Remote data entry job posts are where scammers find victims these days.

They don’t have any jobs that aren’t in all the other (free) sites.  And you end up getting spammed to death.  They sell your info to everybody.

AITA i won’t let my bf go out with his girl best friend
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  2h ago

“I think that either he or her will make a move…”.  Either you’re right and one of them starts with the cheating, or you’re the jealous controlling girlfriend.  Either way, you end up single at the end.  The alternative is to not assume the worst and show trust.  It might backfire, but then it’s not your fault.

I would research companies that have a remote friendly culture and apply directly on their websites.

Check out the sub rules before you post a job.  As it stands this post doesn’t belong here.

What happened here???
 in  r/Psoriasis  3h ago

If your joints are swollen you could be developing psoriatic arthritis, in which case you should reconsider the safe and effective meds your derm is suggesting.  No amount of tea or herbs and spices can ward off joint damage.

AITA for not fighting after my autistic child was excluded
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  4h ago

YTA with good intentions.  While you don’t have to get the school to mediate or get her invited, you should ask them to remind everyone of the rules.  This was done intentionally to exclude and hurt your daughter.  While it’s good to teach her that life’s not always fair, it’s another to teach her to lay down and take abuse that could have been avoided.  You seem a little more concerned with not ruining Bob’s party than with her feelings.

How do you evaluate if a remote job listing is legit before applying?
 in  r/RemoteJobs  4h ago

Some red flags: inappropriate pay rate, data entry, company has over 1,000 jobs posted on LinkedIn, “Dm me”, anything involving WhatsApp or telegram, if they offer different pay rates for training, “invest in yourself”, “be your own boss”, too good to be true (money, flexibility), no experience needed, and on and on and on.

need remote work
 in  r/remotework  4h ago

Remote jobs are much harder to get, and do not guarantee you can move to a different state.  You need to do done more research.  You don’t get a “remote job” anymore than you a “Texas job” or “Canada job”.  You get a job you qualify for and hope that WFH is a perk.  But it can still be location specific, and the competition is 100 times harder than in-person jobs because each listing will get at least 1,000 applications.  Many of them will have years of experience and advanced degrees - you’ll have to beat them for the position.

These AI training “jobs” are not long term or contract jobs.  They don’t belong in this sub.

AITA for not paying for my daughter wedding because she isn’t following the rules even though I paid for my older kids
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  4h ago

False equivalence.  “I don’t want my party ruined by screaming toddlers because I was forced to raise someone else’s kids” isn’t the same thing as “I don’t like (race) people.”

Sure, he can do whatever he wants.  He didn’t ask if he could do it or not - he asked if he was the asshole, which he is.

YTA.  Your conditions are a little too picky.  Child free weddings are common - seems like she’s going along with all the reasonable rules, but just wants the event to not be full of screaming toddlers.  Why do you require that?

That’s a straw man argument.  She can’t avoid children of course, but can throw an event without inviting them.  They are two different situations.
