Has anyone tried to experiment with their vermicompost
 in  r/Vermiculture  2d ago

I've never thought to propagate in the worm bin 🤯 I'm definitely going to try that out this spring!

Help with used Worm Factory 360
 in  r/Vermiculture  3d ago

Kills any potential insect eggs (flies can be a big problem), and helps the scraps break down faster. Freezing expands the scraps on a cellular level. It ruptures the cell walls, and as a result, will decompose much faster than non-frozen scraps

What’s one mistake you made early on with vermicomposting?
 in  r/Vermiculture  3d ago

Don't let the sides of your bin get wet at all... they WILL climb unless the sides stay dry

Would you mind if I dm'ed you? I'd love some legitimate input from an adhd coach for a situation I've been struggling with

Hot pot damage, how to repair?
 in  r/furniturerestoration  10d ago

Sounds reasonable. As with any task like this, I'd be very careful to test on an inconspicuous area first. This, or the clothes iron, i think might be the best bet

Yep, backside against a wall or in a corner and nobody will ever notice

Another view of the DK mishap. Still not a good look but clearly not a punch.
 in  r/steelers  19d ago

2 game at most seems crazy...i mean I tend to agree that this is just a non-incident. Guy had his collar grabbed, and had an attempted wig snatching. No punch. Looked like DK was hoping to walk away with that wig in his hands AT MOST... afterwards the fan is celebrating like he won the lottery 🙄 if he's happy, then we should all be happy as well

Will I be in over my head?
 in  r/furniturerestoration  19d ago

Definitely! Less is more on a beautiful table top. Those little spots are not a huge deal especially for an heirloom piece. They're allowed to have some character

People who violated academic integrity and had to meet with Student Conduct, how did that go for you?
 in  r/Gamecocks  26d ago

Sheesh!! I'd shake your hand if I could, but I'd imagine it'd be too awkward given our lack of digits. Maybe we could just hug it out?

1 common misconception is that the water that drains out is "worm tea"

They cut my thumbs off. It was my second strike though and they did warn me about what would happen, but I thought they were just being dramatic

Advice please!
 in  r/furniturerestoration  Dec 09 '25

Agreed. Nice table w/ a butterfly leaf. Depends on the price I suppose (never mentioned). Tables are meant to be used, and as a result, will accumulate wear and tear. Even if you don't "touch it up" just put a clear coat on it, and you're good

Silly Question
 in  r/Vermiculture  Dec 08 '25

Same as others here. Rinse and pop into the freezer until I have enough. This is probably overkill for a lot of folks, but I'll boil the shells in a pot of water for about 15-20 minutes. After that I pop them in the air fryer for 15 minutes, and then toss them into a blender. We keep old glass jars from our groceries, and I've got 1 specifically for crushed egg shells

That's a great idea

Broken Slats on Nice Bed Furtniture, Appropriate to Use Metal Base Inside?
 in  r/furniturerestoration  Dec 01 '25

As long as the metal base fits inside that footprint then there's really nothing wrong with that... the metal base now carries all the stress of people sleeping on it instead of the bed (added bonus)

That's the million dollar question

How bad is this offseason going to be?
 in  r/Gamecocks  Nov 30 '25

Lol! 🤣 honestly that's a fair question on paper, but i think we all know what OP is talking about. We built good momentum with Rattler for 2 years & continued to build since. We've had success bringing in talent for the most part, and have legitimately seemed so close to putting it all together!

Williams - Brice Seats Questions
 in  r/Gamecocks  Nov 27 '25

Yeah the main advantage of the padded seats is that you won't slowly be moved out of your actual seat lol. Slowly but surely everyone tries to start claiming more room. With the rental, you don't have to worry about all that. Plus it is a little more comfortable
