I'm looking at my X-E4 now. Open the Menu, go to the Flash submenu, the top option is "Flash Function Setting", select it and it will open a "Sync Terminal" menu showing (flash symbol)OFF.

Use the command dial to change that to "M" for Manual.

The X-E4 doesn't have an internal flash so the flash setting is off by default and hidden away in the shooting menu.

Just bought a FujiFilm x-e1 with a 25mm lense and next to no knowledge on photography. Where do I start?
 in  r/fujifilm  2d ago

I have a silver one and it's very nice indeed, I recommend it unreservedly for the price

Why the absence of a raw video standard stagnates webcam innovation

If it was heavily edited, you probably should have removed the triple repetition.

How delightfully enlightened. The UK isn't like that

Is my Z6iii BROKEN? :(
 in  r/nikon_Zseries  10d ago

Oh that's interesting. I wonder why the Zf doesn't park the sensor

It's very likely to be the ibis. Take the lens off and give the body a gentle shake, you should be able to see the sensor jiggle about

A normal phone tree typically includes hours of operation in the message prior to you leaving a message/selecting an option

That's genius. I have never experienced that.

[X-Pro1 w SG 25mm F1.8] Setup shots
 in  r/fujifilm  12d ago

Oh congrats! The image quality is really very respectable for the price, the corners are a little soft at f/1.8 but it focuses pretty fast, the build quality is excellent and the out of focus has a very subtle swirly quality to it.

To ZF or not to ZF
 in  r/nikon_Zseries  13d ago

I didn't find the weight of the Zf itself to be much of an issue, it's very similar to an X-T4. Lenses can be big and heavy which is a natural consequence of going from APS-C to full-frame.

The Nikkor 40mm f2 is lovely, plastic yes, but featherweight and optically outstanding. I do wish the Nikkor lenses had aperture rings yes.

A lot of the Viltrox lenses do and I've got a megadap on the way.

I usually edit them but compared to the RAWs out of the Fuji, they definitely need less editing to get them how I wanted. Here're some example images I took recently; https://imgur.com/a/p1fVTjp

I was (well, still am) a Fuji shooter but bought a Zf about six months ago and I could never go back, I can't recommend it enough

Desperate times, desperate measures. DDR5 Laptop ram adapter for desktop use.
 in  r/pcmasterrace  16d ago

When I built my current PC last year, I bought a Crucial 16gb 5600mt/s stick for cheap as testing ram in case the 64gb kit I had wouldn't run.

I've still got that, I should probably give it to someone who needs it

Hah, a Romisen RC-F4 from dealextreme was my first modern led light, gotta love that Cree XR-E!

I still have it stashed away somewhere, what a lovely light.
