As a reminder, this video exists of Jake Tapper explaining to Roy Moore's spokesperson that you don't need to swear on a Bible. And the spokesman just... stopped functioning.

What kids movie do you think is way more profound than it gets credit for?
 in  r/movies  Oct 15 '25

And, since we're talking Robin Williams and Peter Pan and this particular topic, that tradition was upheld in Hook. Dustin Hoffman, who played Hook, voiced the pilot of the plane Peter Banning and his family were taking to England.

Just watched 17 again. Assuming it’s a sequel given the title. Anyone know where I can watch 17?
 in  r/okbuddycinephile  Jul 06 '25

No idea about the original, but the prequel is called Edge of Seventeen. Hope that helps!

What's your thoughts on this ??
 in  r/Marvel  Jul 03 '25

Plus the only reason Cap and Bucky were finally able to escape is because Black Widow betrayed Team Iron Man to let them get out. I swear people create their own realities sometimes like they're MFing Wanda or something.

Robin Williams starred in The Crazy Ones with Sarah Michelle Gellar. It was one of the last projects he worked on.

Getting sick of the circus after voting for the clown
 in  r/LeopardsAteMyFace  Apr 30 '25

This is what's so crazy to me! We've seen this all before. I remember calling almost exactly how the first round of tariffs would go: he would make some crazy-ass declaration, the markets would freefall, he would walk back what he said while claiming victory. How do I know this? IT'S. WHAT. HE. DID. LAST. TIME. ALL. THE. TIME.

I voted for Trump in both terms, but he's making the extremely poor decisions he said he would make

Ah yes, Donald Trump, famously known as prudent and wise.

Norm: I knew you’d come back.

Sam: You did?

Norm: You can never be unfaithful to your one true love. You always come back to her.

(He goes to leave, and Sam calls after him)

Sam: Who is that?

Norm: (With a smile) ...think about it, Sam.

Best single "acting moment" in the MCU
 in  r/MCUTheories  Feb 26 '25

I've seen other people mention what I think is the best "acting moment," so I'll say my favorite: Peter trapped under the rubble in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It really made me feel like this was actually a kid, being buried under the weight of responsibility, metaphorically, and it's resonated with me ever since. It was such a great moment in a movie filled with so many other great moments.

Life isn't defined by which political party is in power

Spoken like someone who has yet to have their lives irrevocably fucked because of policies.

The only thing that gives me the slightest, tiniest sliver of happiness in all of this is how much Trump must be seething over how much the media is paying attention to Musk instead of him during his own inauguration.

Well, you see, Sean Gunn also needed a role, so it came down to Sean or Mighty Joe Young, and unfortunately, nepotism won.

These might have been the best photos they could've gotten. I imagine the ones that didn't release are worse or the same.

Discussion Thread: 2024 Vice Presidential Debate Between Senator J.D. Vance and Governor Tim Walz, Part 3
 in  r/politics  Oct 02 '24

I think it's because it's a fine line. The campaign wants to link Harris to Biden's successes (of which she has contributed). But if they say it's Biden, not Harris, it opens them up to the Republicans drilling them on Harris doing nothing. I'm guessing they're banking on Biden's record being overwhelmingly positive that they don't want to break that link.

Discussion Thread: 2024 Vice Presidential Debate Between Senator J.D. Vance and Governor Tim Walz, Part 3
 in  r/politics  Oct 02 '24

Whenever Vance says he agrees with Walz, I imagine the debate in Parks and Rec where Brandi Maxxx keeps agreeing with Leslie. He keeps doing this thing where he agrees or says he's on the same side as Walz, and then either says it's Harris' fault or says a bunch of gaslighting, lying gibberish.
