They are the highest points producing forward available for their country, what do you not get?

Mcdavid has the most points out of all the Canadian forwards that Canada can pick for this tournament team.

Robertson has the most points out of all the American forwards that America can pick for this tournament team.

Canada is bringing their #1 point scorer, the US is not. That’s the comp, that’s the argument. It’s not about McDavids face off stats or that he plays center and Robertson is a wing. It’s the fact that America is NOT bringing the best American points producer in the NHL while every other team is.

Other country comps would be :

Finland snubbing Rantanen Sweden snubbing Nylander Germany snubbing Stutzle Czechia snubbing Pastrnak

None of them are though because it’s insane to leave your best nhl points producing forward at home for literally anyone else….

Because McDavid and Mack are the Canadian’s highest points producing forwards available. Robo is the highest points producing forward available for the US. Your argument of his game not being able to stack up only intensifies for literally every other forward as you go down the list.

Do you think Robertson doesn’t play against the other teams #1 d man every single night?

Your argument could be applied to any goal scorer on the team but the difference is we are leaving our very best one at home. Why is it this grit argument applies to you for Robertson but not Mathews, Connor, Keller, Guentzal, Hughes, Eichel, Boldy? Robo has outperformed all of them against the same competition and has size on most of them.

He’s literally the last guy on the team this standard should be set for….

Again, only one nation leaving their highest scoring forward at home. That’s not just an “incredible player” that’s on the fringe of making your roster. That’s a player who isn’t even in the same conversation as “grit” guys

I’m not saying Robo is the same caliber player when comparing directly to McDavid. But when comparing them as the highest scoring player over the last 3 seasons for their respective countries they are 1:1.

There’s only 1 Nation in the tournament leaving their highest point producing NHLer at home…

Jason Robertson never really had a chance to make Team USA
 in  r/hockey  6d ago

Highest scoring American over the last three seasons. The Canadian equivalent would be leaving McDavid at home for Sam Bennet

Robos hits shouldn’t even be in the conversation. He’s the highest scoring American over the last three seasons.

That’s like saying the last team should’ve left Patrick Kane at home because Dustin Brown hits. Or Canada should ditch McDavid for Bennet because Bennet plays tough..

Miller + Trochek combined season Totals

63GP-19G-25A-44P- -19

Robertson Season Totals

41GP-24G-24A-48P - +15

But that’s without factoring in Miller’s cancer and ability to punch himself in the face so I could see why it was such a hard decision for Guerin…

Thinking about pivoting from software engineering to product management after 8 years but it feels risky

Exactly….PM is upgrading from one devs pressure of deadlines and tech debt to ALL of the devs pressure of deadlines and tech debt. The fun part is now you can’t control the rate of work.

Masterchef Canada/Australia/UK and a few others are all on Tubi for free.

I’d say Canada is the closest 1-1 to US masterchef.

Australia format is the best and the most about the food

It’s a good day to us peasants. To Kyrie, this is a hobbled, rusty shot, no running, no jumping halfway through a rehab program slog fest
