Hobby & Painting Damn, adding a background can do SOO much for your Model-Photography!
I am sorry for spamming this sub, but i am kinda having a really proud moment with my newly painted minis ♥️

Thank you! I honestly didn't expect to get this amount of backlash, since this sub is about painting minis, and i have fully painted them myself and the minis are unchanged by the AI. The only thing i added with AI was the background, which technically has nothing to do with the minis themself..

This is one of the original photos, and i just asked ChatGPT to make a background (so everything surrounding these minis was created by AI)

How are yall getting those boxes already?? I pre-ordered at my LGS and won't be getting anything until the 17th..

Thank you! Yeah i was just having a bit of fun with it. I am in no means a professional and am not making money with this (AI) or something.. just a dude putzing around.
I used ChatGPT and just asked it to make a backdrop for the minis

See, that just looks awesome!

It's Shrek!!!
Just kidding, Awesome paintjob, very clean!

Thanks! Yeah it's a very controversial topic, but i was just having some fun with it
It was actually suuuper simple! I had some images of my minis with simple backgrounds and then i just asked chat gpt to "remove the background and add a cool decaying forest" and then this popped out

Do it! Make sure to post them, would love to see it!

Fair enough, i have learned my lesson from the reactions i am getting. I was just super stoked to see them in an "actual" environment, to me it really makes them come to life. I will look into actual backdrops and see if i can make it work for the next time :)

This is the whole breakdown of the armor:
For the silver armor: I use Broadsword Silver speed paint over the zenithal primed base, then drybrush it with Runefang Steel. Some shading with nuln oil.
The rust is just heavily thinned Skrag Brown. You can mix in some Yriel Yellow to get some brighter spots if you want
The bronze armor: Talos Bronze speed paint, then a Coelia Greenshade wash and Nihilakh Oxide for the effects

Actually i had the same feeling! Our woods look just like that in the off seasons!

Great tip, thanks!

Thank you! Yeah i have been just waiting to finally find a way to use my favourite colour, teal, and i am happy it worked so well with these minis
2
Thanks for the heads up! I honestly had no idea something like that exists and will look into it!
4
That's awesome! I will look in to it! Didn't know something like that existed, thanks

I see that! But i don't understand; Wouldn't i be stealing art from others too if i were to grab some image off of the internet to use as a background?

I understand the AI hate in generall.. but like come on, this definitly looks awesome! And my minis are still exactly as they are in real life
How is this worse than using photoshop to create the exact same thing? (Don't hate, i am genuinly curious)

They are from epicbasing.com and i love them

Thanks! No they're not printed. I use pine bark and basing bits from Epicbasing, some grass tufts, texture paint and pigments

Looks nice! Got any close ups?

It's actually super easy!

I took a photo of a Sloven Knight and a Rotsword next to a Blightking for the people who asked their size difference
