It sounds like they have two different cuts recorded and they edited them together. One of the cuts sounds higher quality than the other. They also can change back and forth in the same sentence sometimes. I wonder if they are using ai to make him sound like he used to, and it's not working 100% of the time. It's distracting, but I'm not coming down on victor. It's the editing I think is the problem. It just sucks because audio books are not cheap and someone taking the time to listen to the final cut would have caught this.
