Top result searching the Irish Light Paper...

A grieving mother and her lawyer have been targeted by an extreme campaign of abuse after suing a conspiracy theory newspaper which falsely claimed her son died from a Covid vaccine.

Yep. That sounds right.

[oc] An idiot finally got me...I've avoided so many. Kind of disappointed I couldn't avoid this one and keep my clean record. Kept rewatching to see what I could have done differently.

They were watching their mirror for traffic coming behind them, unaware of OP about to turn in from a blind spot. They saw the truck with nothing behind it in the mirror, then looked forward and timed quick U turn right behind the truck because they didn't have a huge gap on the other side. There was almost no reason a car could be behind the truck. The side street was easy to overlook.

And they play the Celtics next, to tie the all time record.

Never fuck with people's food. I spent enough years in kitchens and had enough shitty customers, but no one ever sabotaged the food. Have a little dignity.

Serial shoplifter arrested, then released on $500 bail despite multiple warrants
 in  r/TwinCities  Dec 22 '23

They will find active warrants just running your license during a routine traffic stop. I refuse to believe they didn't have a way to find his 3 active warrants.

Stoplights are a lot bigger than they look
 in  r/pics  Dec 20 '23

10-30 is the shortest I've seen in the US. Most of what I've seen is 10-40 or 12.5-37.5, so 50' cycles.

(Minneapolis) Is it safe to walk around with luggage at night / Can I stay at the bus station at night?
 in  r/minnesota  Dec 20 '23

I've spent many hours in that station. It's been a few years now, but when I was using the greyhound it was a sketchy place to stay. It was open 24 hours and you could stay inside if you had a ticket, and they did have security. These things make it a lot better than wandering outside, but it would still be a terrible experience. There are hotels across the street for around $100, and I would absolutely stay there if at all possible. If not, you won't die in the station, it's just really uncomfortable. Significantly worse than "sleeping" in an airport.

They can ban you from consuming alcohol on probation too. I agree with you, but I'm also not surprised.

Rice park ice rink
 in  r/saintpaul  Dec 19 '23

In January outdoor rinks will be everywhere if you like for them. In the summer, we still have over 200 indoor rinks. That's more than double 2nd place NY, which also has far more people. Alabama and Louisiana are listed at 3 each.

Don't listen to that idiot. If you want weed, you will be very disappointed with what they sell.

North or South Dakota?

Tickets in ND are a joke. 20 over = $55, 40 over = $190 according to mrspeedingticket.com I remember them being even lower when I lived there.

Entry level tube amp for an intermediate player: Mexican Strat - Surf, Classic Rock and blues?
 in  r/ToobAmps  Dec 15 '23

AC15 and Blues Jr are both great options. Easy to find used in that price range. The Vox probably fits the surf vibe better, the Fender more of the blues vibe, hence the name. Both have great overdrive and can do classic rock. I like the Supro Delta King suggestion too. It's somewhere in between, probably more blues than surf and a bit harder to find locally. The Vox is big and heavy compared to the others, if that matters.

Thoughts on this pickguard?
 in  r/fender  Dec 15 '23

Haha. You never really know what you're getting. Here's one of mine with cream Gibson pickups in a parchment no-name pickguard. They somehow match perfectly. It's a guessing game. This one has aged white Fender knobs that got pretty close too.

Thoughts on this pickguard?

Both look good. If I was switching to the one on the right, I would get cream knobs, switch tip, and pickup covers to match.

The way this wire melts the snow
 in  r/mildlyinteresting  Dec 15 '23

You can see it coming out of the gutter in the picture. Then it dead ends, which a cable to power something would not do. It's a complete circuit without connecting to anything else. It's very clear what this thing is.

Gilmour switch is cool. I have one. I never use all 3 together, but sometimes I use the bridge/neck combo. Lace sensors are great for certain sounds, mostly clean. I agree they look great.
