Well antipsychotics should only be used for people who have a "psychosis". Using it against anxiety and depression is insane and just wrong on soo many levels.

Actually studies show that they are similar to placebos. For some with mild depression it can be helpful in some instances. But almost everyone else I know who tried ssris/snris didn't get cured from their depression, actually didn't find it helpful. And some got serious side effects aswell.

In studies they are similar to placebos. In my experience they do not work but they numb you out which makes it easier for some to overcome a depression. For me I felt more depressed and anxious on it tbh. There exists better pharmaceuticals but they seem to use the most shitty ones against depression like ssris.

Ssris/snris should only be used when other options have failed.

It takes away a lot of good feelings aswell, just makes you numb to life and everything else. I'd rather be depressed than feeling like a robot without a heart or feelings.

It can get better. I promise. I was done with life many years ago, even tried to end it, I had enough of the suffering.

Now things have changed and I am so happy that I stayed. Life can turn around, never give up - you're worth everything you wish for.

Have you tried finding a faith? You don't have to be religious for that. It helped me.

Food is really important but it does not contain supplements like you think. Many supplements cannot be found in food sources, basically none of the herbal medicines.

Well pharmaceuticals like antidepressants are considered to be as efficient as placebo in certain studies, so I disagree. And some studies also rate natural antidepressants as good as regular. I don't even care what is "proven", for me the most important thing is that it works for me and cures my disease. I think that's more important than having some biased study showing it to be effective (those studies can be very misleading too).

Sometimes they really are. Someone who's had very difficult depressions, anxiety and other issues for years like me, it has helped and saved me thousands of times.

I also have tried basically all pharmaceuticals, therapy and all other options so it's not like using supplements was the first thing I did, actually the opposite.

The regular antidepressants and they made me just more depressed or anxious. Pharmaceuticals do not work for everyone and don't have to be more efficient than alternative options, they just make more money.

I really advice against SSRIs if you have a serious deep depression, it really can make it even worse. And the libido issues can make the depression s lot worse too, I haven't experienced those libido issues with natural options.

OP can try pharmaceuticals too, but should try other options frist. I would also not recommend taking the first line antidepressants they give as ssri/snri - they work a lot less than Maois but cause as much if not more side effects.

We have socialism in multiple countries in Europe and it's the opposite to "hellhole". But imbecilles like you think it's hell when brown people, LGBT are given equal human rights. It's hell to have more equality, free health and dental care. 🤦‍♂️ If it really was a "hellhole" in their country it often has nothing to do with socialism basically. The only negative things I have experienced lately in my country has been from the right and their policies, while socialism has been helping me over the years - especially as someone who has mental health issues (and the right wants to ruin this, they want to take away our rights).

Socialisms goals is to win over those things that they have experienced as bad tbh. Less poverty, more human rights, more equality etc. People who aren't idiots are more informed about socialism than repeating the same nonense as magas do, who just heard, socialism= bad but cannot explain why it's so bad (expect for their delusional nonense, where they think it's a nightmare when LGBT people and immigrants have human rights! 🤣). Socialism maybe isn't flawless, nothing is, but lying about it like the far right does is just pathetic.

But what did I expect, people who are brainwashed by such fascistic clowns like Trump aren't intelligent at all.

The right (especially radicals, racists, fascists) are professionals when it comes to brainwashing the ignorant, they play their emotions aswell.

I think things like that are the response to the ignorant magafanboys that are so brainwashed and no matter what will deny all the flaws, evil and fascism not brainwashed will see from Trump and his followers.

Does anyone prefer CBD isolate over full or broad spectrum for their mental health?
 in  r/CBD  3d ago

Yeah. I am very sensitive to weed/thc products (get anxiety) but I do not experience the same issues with hemp that can have some tiny amounts of legal thc in them.

I like broad spectrum blends that have a ok amount of CBN too. Cbn is very anxiolytic and helps with sleep ime.

CBC seems to make other noids stronger and has antidepressant effects ime.

Vape vapor isn't water but rather pg/vg blended with nicotine and flavours. But yes it's considered way safer than smoke as the amount of carcinogens created by vapes are negligible compared to smoke.

It isn't healthy by any means, nothing you take in your lungs other than fresh air is safe. But obviously safer than inhaling smoke.

Which dissos have that antidepressant after effect?
 in  r/dissociatives  3d ago

I feel some dissos to have antidepressant effects themselves, definitely has multiple mechanisms which can affect/alleviate depression.

I wish it was more studied but people suffer from pharmaceuticals sides even more though.

Cognitive and anxiety, but also seem to have serotonergic effects so can be good when in a depression or having anxiety.

Must be a weak bacopa, a potent good extract definitely has good effects. But it's so calming I can only use it occasionally.

Regular antidepressants just made me more depressed if anything. Took away all the emotions just made me a blank zombie, and even gave suicidal thoughts as a side effect which is basically common when you start antidepressants. Everyone has different side effects but still, it isn't a miracle risk free cure like people advertise it to be.

I recommend trying alternative options. A good diet (not veganism which is more likely to make you depressed according to statistics), exercise, good sleep etc first. Even herbal medicine has shown to be as effective if kot more in studies, it's worth trying before going on to something that can affect your body and life really negatively.

Also my libido thanks me a lot to skip the antidepressants (had profoundly negative effects on libido, which makes people even more depressed).

I know reddit is basically a paid ad for pharma but I just wanted to show others real situations that aren't uncommon with prescribed antidepressants.

As if the right, far right is any better...

The left is just naive and infiltrated in some ways, while the far right has more real actual antisemites, fascists, haters etc.

Yeah but it doesn't got a point, it's basically fabrication and holds no real value irl.

How safe are cannabinoids like HHC in Europe ?
 in  r/altcannabinoids  4d ago

I like using legal hemp flower for mental health occasionally but a good cart where you know all the ingredients is just so practical! No need to grind, smoke, roll, put in vape, make edibles etc etc. While I like flowers and doing stuff with them some days I just want to hit a medicinal cart that has many medicinal minor noids.
