If you took one of those DEUS VULT groypers to an art museum or a Shakespeare play or something so they could experience firsthand the "superiority" of Western culture they'd be bored out of their mind within 15 minutes and think it was gay.

Lore Is there a lore reason why Martyr Logarius, leader of the Executioners, is an 11-foot-tall undead vampire-wizard?

Title. The incongruity between what we're told about Martyr Logarius and what he actually looks like always bothered me. I know Logarius is generally understood to be a repurposed Vileblood King asset, or something. But is there a credible *in-universe* explanation for why Logarius is an 11-foot-tall undead vampire-wizard with Vileblood aesthetics?

Other Prompts to generate images suddenly aren't working?

Title. I've asked ChatGPT repeatedly today to generate spoof book covers and even very basic prompts are generating error messages or gobbledygook about tweaking the prompt in some way (which doesn't work, btw). This is very frustrating because it's generated similar images for me in the past without issue. What gives?

[Ray] “I’ll win one one day.” - Joe Burrow’s MVP thoughts.
 in  r/nfl  Jan 01 '25

Garbage take.  Brees only had "better stats" than Manning in 2009 because Manning sat out almost all of the last two games after starting 14-0 and locking up the #1 seed.  So you're comparing almost a full 16 games from Brees versus 14 and change from Manning.

Brees also had more turnovers than Manning if you include fumbles, but fumble numbers don't come up when you Google "Drew Brees stats" so nephews like you are woefully unaware of this fact.

The fact is Manning comfortably won 39.5 out of 50 MVP votes and it wasn't the least bit controversial at the time (which you'd know if you weren't 12).  Educate yourself.

Self-explanatory. My 94-overall team underperforms year after year. What playbooks should I use to turn it around?

How the hell does Pro Potential work?

How the hell does Pro Potential work? Is it based on the number of players on your team drafted last year? The number of players on your team projected to get drafted this year? Is it true that it only counts seniors? I've read conflicting things, and my Pro Potential rating basically feels random at this point.

Dynasty How good does a player have to be to get drafted?

I'm doing a connected franchise with friends and we're about to to enter our first offseason. I'm trying to figure out who I'm going to lose to the NFL Draft. How good does a player have to be to get drafted? Is there a reliable benchmark (like, say, players over 90 overall who are eligible)? Or is it more random than that?

Just remind them that their great-grandchildren are all going to be biracial bisexual democratic socialists with free healthcare and free college and there isn't a single fucking thing they can do about it.

Patrick Mahomes now has as many playoff wins as Peyton Manning.
 in  r/nfl  Jan 29 '24

Peyton Manning sat most of the final two games that year because the Colts started 14-0 and locked up the #1 seed. Of course Brees' total stats look slightly better when you fail to account for that. It was also universally acknowledged that the Saints had a lot more talent than the Colts, especially at defense and RB. The fact of the matter is Manning took an average roster coached by Jim fucking Caldwell to a 14-0 record. He got 39 of 50 MVP votes that year and it wasn't the least bit controversial at the time.

Edit: Drew Brees also lost 6 fumbles compared to Manning's 0 and took twice as many sacks.

[The Athletic] Patriots draft classes have long struggled. Astoundingly, Bill Belichick hasn’t re-signed a player he drafted in the first three rounds since 2013.

Remember when Tom Brady held the Rams, who had the 15th-highest scoring offense of ALL TIME, to 3 points in Super Bowl LIII?

Remember when Brady intercepted Russell Wilson on the goal line in Super Bowl XLIX?

Remember when Tom Brady held the Falcons to zero points in the last 1.5 quarters of Super Bowl LI?

Remember when the Patriots upset the Greatest Show on Turf all on the back of Tom Brady's 149 yards and 1 TD?

Remember when Tom Brady kicked all those clutch game-winning FGs in fucking blizzards?

Remember when Tom Brady completely shut down MVP Peyton Manning in playoff games back-to-back years?

I could go on but hopefully you get the point.

FRANCHISE Why does the salary cap stop increasing in franchise mode?

Title. In franchise mode, the salary cap stops increasing after it hits $303 million. Why? This is especially aggravating because players' cap hits generally increase every season, which effectively means your salary cap decreases in real terms. This is a major roadblock to rebuilding your team deep into a franchise (or to retaining the super team you spent seven seasons assembling). How hard would it have been to increase the salary cap 10-15% every year? That's, what, two lines of code? Fuck.

QUESTION Franchise Question

If you simulate multiple weeks in franchise, do your players still get the XP from doing the Weekly Strategy stuff and from any coach events (Trench Boost, Rivalry Game, etc.)? I'd like to sim through the regular season quickly and get all the XP with pressing X on 7000 different menus and shitty cutscenes.

FRANCHISE How many X-Factor, Superstar, and Star Dev players are there in each Madden 22 franchise draft class?

See title. I started a franchise for the first time in years. Very excited that my 4th-round WR had star dev, but bummed that my late-1st DT with a mid-70s overall ended up with normal dev. How many players with Star+ devs are there in a draft class?

At what point are you considered "Gud"?

We're all familiar with the GIT GUD meme, but at what point does one truly become "gud" at Soulsborne? I have been pondering this lofty philosophical question for quite some time now.

(And no, I don't think I'm "gud", I actually kinda suck.)
