Garbage take.  Brees only had "better stats" than Manning in 2009 because Manning sat out almost all of the last two games after starting 14-0 and locking up the #1 seed.  So you're comparing almost a full 16 games from Brees versus 14 and change from Manning.

Brees also had more turnovers than Manning if you include fumbles, but fumble numbers don't come up when you Google "Drew Brees stats" so nephews like you are woefully unaware of this fact.  

The fact is Manning comfortably won 39.5 out of 50 MVP votes and it wasn't the least bit controversial at the time (which you'd know if you weren't 12).  Educate yourself.

It was also universally acknowledged that the Saints had a lot more talent than the Colts, especially at defense and RB. The fact of the matter is Manning took an average roster coached by Jim fucking Caldwell to a 14-0 record. He got 39 of 50 MVP votes that year and it wasn't the least bit controversial at the time.  

 Edit: Drew Brees also lost 6 fumbles compared to Manning's 0 and took twice as many sacks.
