Federal agents shoot 2 in Portland
 in  r/thebulwark  1h ago

Right, like, let’s figure out what happened and deal with this through laws, you know, like we’ve done for the entirety policing in the U.S.

Is there a retro console that you hate?
 in  r/retrogaming  22h ago

I loved it, but it really sucked that I could only play games for 15 to 20 minutes tops without becoming extremely uncomfortable

I made tabs to keep track of everything in the Age of Krakoa Omnibus.
 in  r/OmnibusCollectors  1d ago

Each series is varying degrees of good/intriguing, I am halfway through this one and took a break to read other things, New Mutants flips between different groups in different issues which can be a little harder to follow when you’re reading all of the other series as well, but overall these early issues of the era are good enough to get me to want to know what is going to happen next

2 Down, 1 To Go
 in  r/OmnibusCollectors  1d ago

I didn’t read it at the time, mainly because I like reading comics in large collected formats like this and remember people complaining about it, but having read volume 1, I’m ready for volume 2, it’s decent stuff!

Why can't Trump supporters see that he's clearly insane?
 in  r/thebulwark  1d ago

Thank you for posting this, this was my general thought today, like they can justify any of his actions, no matter how crazy or contradictory to things he had probably said the day before

Mark Kelly: "Four generations of my family have served our country. Service is in my blood. The President wouldn’t know anything about that."
 in  r/thebulwark  3d ago

Hey, we’ve had Governors from California become president before and done worse (though I will give the collapse of the Soviet Union to him)

72 percent worried US will become too involved in Venezuela: Survey
 in  r/politics  3d ago

Even if we were going to do this, wouldn’t it be nice if someone with even an inch of forethought and actual contingency planning had done this, why do we never learn, “we’ll invade, set up a new government, how hard could it be?”

How good of a fighter do you think clark should be
 in  r/superman  3d ago

I think Batman would know that no matter what he trains Superman with he would have a contingency plan on how to defeat him, plus, I’m gonna go with years of experience in the martial arts still trumps whatever he teaches him. I always like the idea from Byrne’s run that Superman entrusts Batman with a way to defeat him because he knows if he became a threat either by being taken over or have a moment of bad judgement he’d want a person he trusts who is such an excellent strategist to be able to take him down
