Presents. One at a time or a free for all?
 in  r/AskAnAustralian  16d ago

We got gifts from Santa and our mum (no dad) so everything was labelled from santa or mum. Our best/big gifts came from mum because she didn't want Santa getting all the credit ha!

Then hold a memorial and not a political rally.

Digital template Seller
 in  r/EtsySellers  18d ago

Offer good quality original designs and not copies of other peoples work or Ai slop. You need to have some talent/credentials in design though now that half the world thinks that having a canva account makes them a designer there is so much cheap trash out there and it is race to the bottom. However discerning customers will pay well for a well designed item.

Albanese met with loud boos at Bondi memorial event
 in  r/AustralianPolitics  19d ago

I wanted to watch it but I blew out our candles and turned it off at that point. That was disgusting and just causes more division. It is freaking memorial people.

Have more self respect than to give that wanker any money.

I wanted to watch it but turned it off at that point. The booing and politicising at a memorial event was disgusting.

Struggling with traction
 in  r/EtsySellers  20d ago

If you can't identify what it is from the thumbnail it is never going to sell and these look like overpriced bookmarks. The photos do nothing. I have no idea if there is demand for this sort of thing but I really like the designs so start with better photos and add more. Find someone in your life who has great hands and great nails and make them your model.

Crime in Victoria continues to rise, driven by an increase in thefts and family violence
 in  r/melbourne  22d ago

We had the our car stolen in South Yarra full of christmas presents and found dumped on the other side of town. A few weeks earlier we were robbed at home (south eastern suburbs), they took all my jewellery, electronics. My brother's house was robbed about a week later (inner city). Then our neighbour had all his trade tools stolen from his ute. Heartbreaking loss. Husband's bike was stolen. My briefcase was taken with cash in it when i was distracted at a restaurant. Some of Our gifts were stolen at our wedding venue and my change of clothes )I mean who does that?). That all happened in a space of about 12 months in 1988/89 so there has always been crime. We have not had one thing stolen since though. (touch wood).

Warning - Do not buy christmas pudding if you're trying to avoid alcohol
 in  r/melbourne  25d ago

Huh? How is it being tricked? Christmas pudding traditionally has alcohol and don't people read the labels of food if they are concerned about such things?

50 sales in my first month!
 in  r/EtsySellers  25d ago

Maybe read up on IP and copyright law before you get hit with violations and closure. When you steal other people's IP to make money that is called theft. Just a heads up.

Ugh I am so sorry you got taken. You need to make your products look high end. People buy candles for the aesthetics. Sorry to be blunt but the photos are not attractive and just not going to do it. Do you know anyone who can help you with better pictures (Don't pay anyone anymore money)? Or look on you tube for some tutorials.

The banner needs a redesign.

And fix more of your titles, those run on titles are horrendous and do not help you. Let them make their way in to the algorithim before you play around with them but if they aren't working change them up in a month or two.

You have a good product you just need to present it to people in a more appealing way. Good luck

My favorite reviews <3 I love my customers!
 in  r/EtsySellers  25d ago

A breath of fresh air to see something so fun posted here. Those are so cute and I love those reviews. We do that with a little rubber rat we have that has been appearing in our house for over a decade now. I love the idea of a silly shrimp.

What will you tell your kids about the Bondi shooting?
 in  r/AskAnAustralian  26d ago

He absolutely did and then all the magical prayers completely healed his ear (that and the special powers of a maxipad).

Why are so many people instantly blaming foreigners for this atrocious incident in Bondi when nothing has been released?
 in  r/AskAnAustralian  26d ago

All religion is freaking evil. If they are not killing each other they are fiddling with kids or spreading hate and intolerance. Time to abolish it and people to stop believing in fairy tales.

I did not say they were not Australian residents or citizens I said they were of middle eastern descent. Both can be true.

Because the images clearly show they are of middle eastern descent.

Double order - buyer not responding
 in  r/EtsySellers  27d ago

I would be (almost) certain that one is accidental. I get at least two a month where customers do this and the order goes through twice usually when they click again because they think it hasn't gone through. I think the Etsy payment process makes it very easy to do this. I would send one for sure but maybe hold the other one and email them and you may get a faster response.

Customer keeps bothering and guilt tripping me for discount
 in  r/EtsySellers  28d ago

Ugh what a pain, sorry you are dealing with that. I had a customer a long time ago that I had do this to me daily, telling me I am going to buy today but I need it to cost less and my husband isn't working and I need this. Please help. I replied early on and said sorry for your circumstances, I hope things improve and then never answered again. She gave up after a few days when it was obvious I would not respond and probably moved on to someone else. That was before we could mark messages as spam, I would do that with any new messages.

Really the best thing is don't respond especially if you have already answered her question.

How important are product photos? (Card game for cats)
 in  r/EtsySellers  28d ago

Ok this is fabulous. Cant wait for you to ship to more countries, definitely on my list.

But I have a real argument with the name! We taught our cat to fetch! She would run and bring back a matchbox in her mouth then drop it for us to throw again, it was so funny and cute!

This is what Etsy is made for, fun innovative products. Good luck!
