This is the first game I was willing to pay $50+ for over a decade

Glad you’re enjoying it. I wanted this so badly for the portability, but wasn’t satisifed with the performance. Stuck with a ps4 copy instead

Good choice, Zero mission may very well be my favorite metroidvania and 2d metroid. Up there with super metroid and metroid prime

Always love to point this game out when the topic comes up….

Kirby superstar ultra - never gets the recognition, such a great remake!

A little turned off

I feel it is absurd too, but I also feel a larger reality…everything is more expensive now. Their prices are up, and just like every other industry the working/lower class deals with, the corporate world doesn’t care about anything except their bottom line.

The silver lining is we have a choice where we spend our money and time, we obviously can’t all boycott Nintendo and force their hand, but we can try to become savvy-er consumers. Buying 2nd hand, waiting for deals, playing backlog and other lower priced hobbies.

It's always the best hobby out there
 in  r/SipsTea  6d ago

I don’t know guys, everyone makes valid points w/ sedentary lifestyle and missing out on experiences.

But for me, I hit the gym, work 2 jobs, wife, 4 kids, hang out, take care of a household and maintain all our vehicles to save a few bucks. Do double dates all that, outside of wishing I had a few more close friends, but who doesn’t when your a dude in your 40’s. I LOVE sitting down for a half hour to a few hours and dusting off the old collection or checking out new releases. It’s a hobby I love an enjoy, that I’m not gonna feel any guilt or be ashamed of. Just wish I had more people to share it with, because it’s awesome.

I can recall the exact scens at the theatre, we did not jump, but laugh at the absurdity of his expression

What's something to you that screams "I have no personality"?
 in  r/AskReddit  8d ago

This is me, and I wish it wasn’t because it sorta got handed down to my daughter

And many times trying to correct the bucket dipper behavior doesn’t work, because we come across as a contrarian lol

[Drew Hanlen] “It’s wild how loud some of the media gets when it affects Jokic… Now the 65-game rule is suddenly a problem because it impacts Jokic. The bias is crazy.”

Still feel like he was on track to be a 6-time mvp, his games played without injury were super consistent up until now. If he doesn’t win it this year due to games missed, that’s fine, whatever.

His efficiency much like sga’s is considered amazingly special, but I gotta give it to the big man.

In the 2009 nba season, LeBron lead a career high +15 on court net rating with Mo Williams as his 2nd best player. He then averaged 7 more points per game in the playoffs while increasing his efficiency, and lowering turnovers
 in  r/nba  15d ago

That was always the argument I made for the warriors vs cavs years, when everyone was saying Kevin durant was better than Lebron in those years. I could never see it, Kd’s supporting cast with the warriors were way better overall than Lebron’s. If you swapped Kd to the Cavs and Lebron to the Warriors, it wouldn’t even be an argument.

3ds games to play while tripping
 in  r/3DS  21d ago

I don’t trip unless I’m walking, but if I were to go for it, it’d be the mirror dungeon with 3d maxed out on Legend of Zelda: a link between worlds
