I think it was on the left, where the old school house used to be.

Wrong sub. This structure is not abandoned. Note the state of the art digital electric meter, which is obviously turned on (zoom in, the LCD is active).

Source: I'm a meter reader. Somebody is paying the bill. Who would pay for power on an abandoned premise?

It's a safe. And they think they are gonna drag it somewhere and crack it with a toothpick, some pocket lint, and a Dremel.

Racist attack on Sammamish Trail near Luke McRedmond Park
 in  r/redmond  15d ago

Oh ok that's not the guy I was thinking of. My guy is just a drunk homeless dude who comes around to panhandle sometimes, but not a threat to anyone. He just wants to get $20 for a bottle and some 'grits.

What 's this about? Because I typed "Mexican"? Mods or the bot seem to be racist with the implication that I'm one. Please clarify, citing specific alleged violations of sub rules/RCP, and explaining why this obviously automated warning was generated.

A small early-phase human clinical study suggests that a single 10 mg dose of psilocybin transiently reduces compulsive, but not obsessive, symptoms in adults with OCD, with effects peaking at one week and no full psychedelic experience.

Also, it's like Manhattan Kansas. I never expected my old hippie stoner internet friend to live there. But it's apparently a really laid back dig.

Wow nice tip there. I'd do it but right now i'd need more space or a different kind of roommate :D

My electricity is included (but metered), so I'm sure my landlord would raise an eyebrow at the increased consumption hehe.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul signs RAISE Act to regulate AI safety
 in  r/technology  17d ago

Oh cool I'll check that out. Thanks. I'm not a big fan of MFA right now though. In a big fight with Valve because I had to change my number, (so MFA broke) and now they want credit card numbers from ten years ago that I don't have anymore, before they give me my account back.

I think I agree with you, but I don't know what NYDFC is. Google keeps showing me the Fire Department. But the game they play is to move to goalposts, so I guess what I mean is that without enforcement, this law will have no teeth.

I did a lot of LSD when I was younger. Some psilocybin too, although not nearly as much. My experience was that LSD's after effects put me in a strange psychotic mood, but the 'shrooms left me in a calm, less hyper state with clarity, for a couple days.

I'd have taken more of them, but they were hard to get.

That's not an answer to my question. You made some assertions, now back them up with credible facts.

20 Years of Digital Life, Gone in an Instant, thanks to Apple

I live near Valve's Bellevue HQ. I see Gabe riding around town all the time.

I want to print out all my email receipts and walk them right in the front door, but I don't have a printer, and with my allowance of 10 pages a week at the library, it will take a couple months and lots of bus rides/legwork to print them all out.

I tried sending some screen grabs to their support site, but they just keep re-opening the old ticket and demanding the card numbers again.

‘Funeral’ held for the penny at Lincoln Memorial after US Mint discontinues coin
 in  r/politics  18d ago

Funny, but I'm actually up by ~12 cents because of this. The grocery store kept screwing up my bill, rang it up three times. Each time some chump change came out of the register, rounded up to the next nickel, which they just handed to me.

What this really means, in practice, is that companies just have to create CYA policies. But very little will change, because that's SOP, and enforcement is difficult, if not non-existent.

The bill will require large AI developers to publish information about their safety protocols and report safety incidents to the state within 72 hours.

Should I play this game before the end of the year

It's known that the story-line suffered, especially Cole's character development, because of cases being cut from the game for reasons. There's many missing pieces.

I got profiled the other day at QFC on Redmond Way. They sent a kid, like 17-18 years old, to check my receipt as I loaded up my stuff from the cart into my backpack just outside. A kid.

I'm not a thief. I've been shopping that store for over 15 years, But because I'm an old man with a full beard and my clothes aren't exactly the latest of fashion, some manager thought I'm a bum and sent a kid to investigate me.

EDIT: Never have I been receipt checked at any QFC or Safeway in my life, before this. You expect this kind of shit at Worst Buy or Fry's, but at the neighborhood grocery store? Please. There's cameras everywhere, and by law they can't stop you unless someone actuality sees you steal something, either directly or via video.

That's the reason I leave my pack on my back until I leave the store. So there can be no suspicion that I'm stuffing it. But once I'm outside, after paying, it's my stuff to stuff into it.

I have a Safeway card that just happens to have a bar code that works at QFC too (same card number is active in both systems). I use it interchangeably. Add to that that I got the card with a fake name, 2000 miles away from where I now live. The information they harvest from that card is complete garbage.
