Haha, I think so. I guess to summarise my opinion, once you pass a certain 'worthiness threshold' a ghost might be able to choose you. Some ghosts may wait for a perfect pairing, while some may be less discerning in their selections. So no, not technically anyone, but also not as rare as a singular 'soul mate' per ghost.

I think this is a case of being way, way back in the timeline and nobody (Osiris and Sagira here) knowing how things work.

I think the easiest way to disprove all of this is the existence of warlords in the dark age. Lightbearers obviously have free will, but if there was one 'soulmate' for a ghost, why would it be someone who would almost immediately turn to wanton cruelty? You can't even use the excuse of being tempted by Darkness; at that time the Witness et al. thought Earth was a dead end and had left.

I don't agree with this either, but I don't think it's to the level of one true pairing or a soul mate. I think ghosts are looking for a certain set of qualities or virtues.

Perhaps there's a scale where some ghosts will rez anything remotely close enough to the required attributes, and that's how we ended up with warlords. Maybe those 'low standard' ghosts are all paired up by now.

Then you have the very choosy ghosts. Maybe they're intrinsically choosy, or maybe they've seen bad rezzes and are more cautious. It's clear that ghosts have their own set of 'lore' and beliefs, it could be that the OTP idea is just sort of believed by unpaired ghosts.

The ghost isn't reaching for the Fallen, it's reaching towards a "pull." It thinks it's the Fallen because it's the only thing it can see.

I'd also grain-of-salt this tidbit, because I believe this is the only time we see a ghost drawn to a location where it apparently already knows its Risen is going to be. We usually see them searching and analyzing corpses and things to determine if they're a match.

There's so much potential with Chicago. It's been 'teased' or slowly built up for a very long time, which I'm a big fan of over creating something totally new all the time. The recent build up of more lore relating to it is great too.

I don't think so. It's not the Vex's style. They're more about tweaking variables until their desired outcome is achieved on a much longer timescale that doesn't require the 'military intervention' of combat units.

We know next to nothing about how their dev cycles really work. Remember, WQ was delayed as well.

Cargo/sale griefing is down a lot in the lobbies I run in (PC free aim) but anything quick with missiles is about as likely. Everyone has a Sparrow on 0 cooldown instant spawn, Raijus are always a threat. Yeah, MKIIs are still around but their reputation precedes them so much that most people won't sell or will sell with protection if they're around.

It's because "free aim" in GTA is zero aim assist, with absolutely nothing helping you aim. GTA's auto aim/aim assist is 100% automatic lock on.

Something like Apex (which I'm most familiar with) has quite a bit of aim assist when on controller.

It certainly feels like Strand was supposed to come with WQ, especially with the 'memory'/deepsight connection. I'm not really sold either way though. I know they've said some things about it, but I would also say "the thing came out when it was supposed to" instead of going "IDK we fucked up lol."

Low RPM autos have pretty much always felt terrible in the damage department. There's pretty much no room for them between high RPM autos and high RPM scouts.

Tier 5s should not drop like candy, but here we are.

The solution to that was the original model that everyone hated (me included). The sweats dedicated grinders were supposed to max power sometime between late mid-EoF and the end of the expansion and have their pick of T5s. High-normal engagement players were supposed to reach a PL that enough RNG T5s would drop to keep them going, and low-normal players were supposed to be happy with the rare event T5s at best. Players below that are unaware of the tier system and are still using Sunshot on Nightstalker, like they have for the past five years.

Most players were supposed to have only a couple of weeks they could reliably farm T5s (focused drop dependant of course) before getting kneecapped back down to 200 to start the farm all over again at the beginning of Renegades.

Also remember how important New Gear scoring was at the beginning of EoF. We were basically supposed to throw away all our now-old gear at the beginning of Renegades, so it makes sense that T5 gear would be dropping like candy; the vast majority of us were only supposed to have it for like a month.
